My self-summary
My boyfriend and I are relocating to Charleston in the summer (him for grad school, me for support and a change of scenery). Looking to build some great new friendships with the occasional witty banter, drinking, and all that jazz)

FUN FACTS:
I have a freakishly ability to beat friends while playing Jeopardy and can perform in a one man rock show in the car while driving down the freeways. I enjoy cooking and hosting parties/events and game nights with friends, and have a fondness towards drinking fine wines and martinis - i get competitive in board game nights.

In my spare time enjoy active activities like playing tennis and running, but also finds comfort sitting at home and doing artistic projects like painting and cutting up magazines for collages - i love playing my piano and find solace in pounding out songs and notes when music gets stuck in my head

I have always had a fascination with marine biology and secretly desires to explore the world around me.

I enjoy the smell of rain and the sound of the sizzle waves make over the sand. In my past life I was a mariner. I am probably the opposite of what you would expect me to be. But beneath all that, I'm a good guy trying to find how I fit in the puzzle. I am a citizen of the world who refuses to be limited to a single place, cause or idea.

I've been to every continent and still very passionate about traveling and the world

I am creative, passionate, and the boy next door, and I've coined "bohemian yuppie" as a category that best describes me
What I’m doing with my life
I have an awesome job that makes a global impact on the world and fulfills my desire to travel and continue experiencing other cultures as I have been doing my whole life.....In early 2010, I was in Africa for 3 weeks on a volunteer educational research assignment in Ghana as my first step to strive towards doing more humanitarian work wherever I can...my ultimate dream job would be with national geographic society or the United Nations - trying to find creative outlets in whatever I do.
I’m really good at
being fun around my friends, steering the car with me knees (albiet dangerous but good at it), Jeopardy, sitting down at a piano and playing a song by ear, history and geography, appreciating the arts, theatre history, world history, being a friend, cooking, board games/game night, being really offensive and politically incorrect, remembering obscure pop culture references, planning social friendly outtings
The first things people usually notice about me
I've been told I have a nice smile and I have very subtle witty humour and my outgoing personality whenever I meet someone new
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
These are just a few examples of what defines my tastes:

Music: Mika, The Killers, Kelly Clarkson, Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue, Ben Lee, Third Eye Blind (first album is the best by far), Missy Higgins, the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Joseph Arthur, Jason Mraz, Mae, Patrick Park, Dolly Parton, The Frames, Coldplay, OneRepublic, Greg Holden, musicals, - I really love what I categorize as "folk/pop/acoustic singer songwriters" genre

Movie: Slumdog Millionaire, A Mighty Heart, Blood Diamond, Dead Poet's Society, Cruel Intentions, White Squall, Moulin Rouge, Showgirls, Billy Elliot, Step Into Liquid, Hotel Rwanda, Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead, The Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump,

Books: And Then There Were None, On A Wave, The Westing Game, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Cranberry Hush, Something Like Summer, Bret Easton Ellis books, A Midsummer's Night Dream, The Lorax, MAGAZINES : GQ (my bible), Details, National Geographic (my dream), World Atlases

Food: I love meat. I love seafood - I can eat healthy as well but a strictly vegan/vegetarian diet is something I just can't limit myself to - have been doing Paleo diet a bit. Thai and Indian foods are a plus

TV: National Geographic Channel, Discovery Channel, American Horror Story, Pushing Daisies, Happy Endings, Bates Motel, The Walking Dead
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what my next plan of action will be, whether it is what to do for the weekend or making a dinner or just trying to change things up in my routine to keep things exciting these days, trying to absorb new things when I learn an interesting fact.
On a typical Friday night I am
(or a Saturday night) with my friends - maybe out and about either an an event or staying in throwing a dinner party and playing games or watching a movie. I like to balance my weekends out by if I go out one weekend and make a night of it, the next weekend generally is low key.

Date night: movie or like burgers/pizza & beer is always nice - love making my own pizza and having a beer or wine and watching a movie
