I am funny, intelligent, and oh, so charming.
My Self-Summary
I really don't take myself too seriously, and I kind of require the
same in the people with whom I surround myself. I will make fun of
you on a regular basis, so you need to be able to laugh at
yourself. I'll also probably correct your grammar, but that's
because I'm annoying.
I enjoy a good book, a hot latte, and a crossword puzzle on a rainy
afternoon. That, or really crappy reality television. I like to go
to plays and museums and to see live music. I like to travel, often
irresponsibly when I should be in school. I make a lot of snap
judgments and impulsive decisions, but I'm really good about
laughing it off when they blow up in my face. Usually. I don't get
stressed out about things that most people would, but if a web page
won't load I can feel my blood pressure rising. I like cold weather
and rainy days, unless I want to eat outside on the patio. My mom
says I'm impossible, but I promise, it grows on you.
What I’m doing with my life
I majored in Journalism in college, because I liked interviewing
people, not because I wanted to be a reporter. Now I'm trying not
to get kicked out of law school - it's an uphill battle. They're
not playing around with those grading curves.
I’m really good at
Being stubborn, making people laugh, and crossword puzzles on
weekdays. I also bake a mean Red Velvet cupcake.
The first things people usually notice about me
My winning personality and keen fashion sense.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, anything by Chuck Klosterman,
Water for Elephants, Ender's Game, anything by Salinger and
Hemingway if I'm in a somber mood.
Movies: Igby Goes Down, Clueless, Peter Pan, Newsies (Christian
Bale at his finest), Good Will Hunting
Music: Ryan Adams. Jenny Lewis. Ben Gibbard. Elvis Costello. Damien
Rice.
Food: The aforementioned Red Velvet cupcakes, sushi, asparagus,
blueberry pancakes. I also love a good pesto.
Really, I have very eclectic tastes and way more than my fair share
of guilty pleasures....
The six things I could never do without
Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, Heart, and Captain Planet.
Alternatively: chapstick, my family and friends, my grandmother's
corn pudding, lemonade, my cellphone, and my iPod.
On a typical Friday night I am
Watching Say Yes to the Dress with my roommates.
That, or sitting in some darkly lit dive bar with a Communist theme
drinking PBR with my friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Deep down inside, I still think online dating is really, really
creepy.
