My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I originally created this profile because I was drunk and friends had profiles. I never judged the concept. I'm glad it works for people. I'm just awful at first impressions. Makes the whole anonymous meet thing a little intimidating.

I keep the profile because I'm a sucker for internet sociology. Plus, although, I do alone fairly well and will likely never contact anyone, there is some pathetic fantasy my cynical mind still has that this might lead to something (all with no effort on my part, because that's the secret to romantic fantasies).

I'm a bit judgmental and I'm pretty heavy with the sarcasm, and the sense of humor, but not too heavy with the actually being funny.

I like to think I'm more conceptually funny then actually funny. I'm like the Yoko Ono of comedy.

I am sarcastic, pretentious, and neurotic
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working for not enough money, barely paying bills.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Huh. Good question...

Favorite Music:
Lately, I'm all up on old and new soul. Stevie Wonder, Raphael Saadiq, Tony Toni Tone, Mayer Hawthorne, Nina Simone, and more.

Inspired by the Repo Man soundtrack, I've been pulling out old punk favorites of mine.

I'm also a sucker for 60's girl groups. Ronettes and Dusty Springfield have been getting regular play.

LCD Soundsystem, !!!, and Chromeo and other dancey hipster icons have also been on rotation.

And all sorts of cheesy pop. Justin Timberlake, TI, Ludacris, Hall and Oates, Hercules and Love Affair...

Favorite TV Shows:
Spaced, South Park, Deadwood, Firefly, Futurama, A Bit of Fry and Laurie, Upright Citizens Brigade, The Prisoner, Dr. Who, The Twilight Zone, Buffy, QI, Pushing Daisies, Dexter, Carnivale, The Wire, Arrested Development, The Mighty Boosh, How I Met Your Mother, 30 Rock, Wonderfalls, The Venture Brothers, Frisky Dingo, Treme, Breaking Bad, Community

Requiem for a Dream, Taxi Driver, Adaptation, Cool Hand Luke, Young Frankenstein, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, The Fifth Element, The Bridge over the River Kwai, Full Metal Jacket, Die Hard, Magnolia, Buckaroo Banzai, The Wrestler, City of God, Constant Gardener, Children of Men, There Will Be Blood, No Country for Old Men, The Big Lebowski, Alien

Favorite Books:
Stranger in a Strange Land, Satanic Verses, Ragtime, Cryptonomicon, Snowcrash, The Diamond Age, The Baroque Cycle, pretty much anything by Neal Stephenson, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom, Someone Comes to Town Someone Leaves Town, Makers, For The Win, pretty much anything by Cory Doctorow, Illuminatus, The Principia Discordia, House of Leaves, Frankenstein, Foundation, Dune, Catcher in the Rye, As She Climbed Across the Table

And then there are the comics. Preacher, Transmetropolitan, Global Frequency, Lazarus Churchyard, Fell, The Filth, WE3, Doom Patrol, Seven Soldiers of Victory, A lot of other stuff by Grant Morrison, From Hell, Watchmen, Maus, Fables, Palestine, Blackhole, Y: The Last Man, The Escapist, Ex Machina, Runaways, The Killing Joke, Powers, Lex Luthor: Man of Steel, Red Son, Sam and Max, Wanted, Brian Michael Bendis's Daredevil run, Jinx, Doom Patrol, and more I can't remember now.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Myself, my books, my comics, my TV shows, my movies, my friends.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
not working a standard 9-5/Mon-Fri job so friday night for me doesn't mean what it does to others, but ideally I'm hanging with friends, probably drinking. Sometimes I'm in at a friends place, sometimes I'm out at a bar.

In all honesty, I prefer (and my schedule allows) mid week drinking. Less people are out, which appeals to my misanthropy, but enough are out to appeal to my occasional sense of random friendliness.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't admit anything online.

If I can't tell a stranger I can't tell the internet. It's nothing personal, but you have to earn that.

So here is a good idea of something I'm passionate about, that I wrote for a facebook profile and am stealing, verbatim, for this.

"I love stories. No matter the medium, a well told story is a wonderful thing. More then that I love the art of storytelling. No two people telling the same story will make the same thing. A genius can make a mediocre story astounding just as a moron can make it horrid.

We are currently in a golden age of storytelling. Mediums that have only been around for a century or so are just, within the last half a decade, being used to their full potential. I love comic books and I love television. The content being produced for them right now is more amazing then any that has graced these mediums in the past."
