I'm a California native who after almost 10 years of living in the city has finally started calling NYC my home. According to two of my friends (who are at the moment threatening to do this for me if they don't approve of what I type), I'm adventurous, ambitious, generous, and resilient. I spend most of my free time seeing live theatre, running, at one of my local pubs attempting to disprove the time-honored principal that a person cannot in fact drink their weight in beer, and traversing the city trying to eat great food with great friends. Although I'm still very much active in the broadway community, my interests in wine led me to become a sommelier, which has evolved into a parallel career in hospitality and wine management, and to my current job as the beverage director for a restaurant group. I love exploring the city, am very independent, but have always found the most joy to come from being able to share those experiences with friends and family.

Books: currently reading The Foie Gras Wars.

Movies: The Usual Suspects, Confidence, In Bruges, and yes, Newsies.

TV: How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Suits. I can't remember what we did before the invention of the DVR.

Music: Gabe Dixon Band, Black Keys, Billy Joel, Maroon 5, Radiohead, old stuff from Kings of Leon, and a bunch of other stuff that you've probably never heard of.

Food: I'm a total foodie, but most nights I would rather have an amazing burger at a dive somewhere than a fussy meal. And I love BBQ. I've traveled the country eating my way through the best BBQ out there. So far the ribs at 17th St. BBQ in Murphysboro, IL are still the best. Ok, now I'm hungry...
