Although I am from the East Coast I lived in Toronto for ten years, but recently returned from a career break. I bought a one-way ticket to Mexico and traveled overland through Central and South America over months and spent the last few months in Europe.

Now I am a full time travel blogger and marketing consultant. I decided to come back to Toronto because the love the city, but travel will always be an important part of my life.

Hemingway is my favourite author, hence the username. I also adore Fitzgerald and Maugham. I love my Kindle and tend to mix up classics with trashy novels.

I don't have cable. When I do watch television it's usually along the Arrested Development/Curb Your Enthusiam sense of humor or South Park/Archer.

I watch documentaries and foreign films over blockbusters. I do like comedies but I don't understand why people watch thrillers or horror movies - I don't feel a rush from stress and anxiety in a film.

I love food and cook a lot. Local, organic, sustainable food is important to me. I would rather pay more to support local farmers and restaurants for good quality than to eat highly processed food in franchise restaurants.
