My self-summary
Hello there! I'm Doug, and I'd like to talk to interesting, smart, funny people who are open minded, and willing to think about the stranger things in life. I like discussing my hypotheses about history, science, politics, and anything else that you might find interesting. And just because I have developed a hypothesis, doesn't mean I that they are proper theories or even correct which is why learning is one of my favorite things to do. Anything I don't know about I will usually listen intently to, so I can learn more. I currently have 3 fish. If you'd like to know more contact me, and don't hesitate to ask anything. By the way my questions were answered long before you could make them public and in 8 years a person can change, I haven't had the time to look over them all but I'm working on it.

I am open-minded, quizical, and funny
What I’m doing with my life
I moved to the Phoenix area about 4 years ago, and am looking forward to meeting some locals for friends and to see if that could lead to more. I'm currently am working at a warehouse, working on writing a Sci-Fi book along with other artistic endeavors. I've also started my own Socrates' Cafe', a philosophy group, and attend several others around the area.
The first things people usually notice about me
I wear a lot of different hats, my height, and my long hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite book is "The Emperor Wears No Clothes", by Jack Herer, and think every American should read how the government turned its citizens into criminals. Other good books I've read are The 5000 Year Leap, "E=MC Squared", "The Universe in a Nutshell", Sciencia, The Elements, among many others.

My favorite movies include Quentin Tarantino movies, all the Monty Python movies, anything by Mel Brooks, South Park the Movie, and most horror, comedies, action adventure, cartoons, and documentaries as well.

My favorite TV shows include Cosmos, The Walking Dead, The Big Bang Theory, NCIS, Person of Interest, most cartoons, and my sport of choice is wrestling. Yeah, the matches are fixed but the entertainment value of comedy, viloence and drama all wrapped up in one is priceless.

My top 5 favorite bands are Pink Floyd, Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against The Machine, System of a Down, and Linkin Park. My favorite genre is rock, but will listen to anything but country as it puts me into a narcoleptic rage (AKA uncontrolable sleepiness).

My favorite food is my mom's homemade Sloppy Joe or veal parmigiana. Other than that I eat anything pizza (pizza, pizza burger, pizza fries, pizza steak, meatball parm., ect).
The six things I could never do without
1. Oxygen
2. Carbon
3. Hydrogen
4. Nitrogen
5. Calcium
6. Iron

Oh... you mean just me...

Well besides friends and extended family,

1. Science
2. History
3. More Stuff To Learn
4. Inspiration (it makes my art better)
5. Transportation
6. Philosophy
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future, the past, my theory of everything, What's dark matter/energy?, the meaning of life, Why water exists the way it does?(oxygen and hydrogen are highly flammable yet water puts out fire), Is fire alive?, and many other stranger and fantastic theoretical ideas that spark my interest. I also spend time thinking about how to make us energy independent in as short a time as possible. And more time is spent coming up with new artistic endeavors.
On a typical Friday night I am
If I have to work OT on Sat, going to bed early (7am comes so fast). Otherwise I'm seeing a local band play, doing some art or writing, or seeing who might be on here.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm not your typical guy. Ask if you want to know more.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–46
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You like long interesting discussions, have an open mind, are willing to disagree every once in a while, and are looking for a friendship before a relationship. Or if you just want to.
