I'm a big believer that smart is sexy; looks will only carry you so far. I'm finding that as I get older, the mental outweighs the physical on so many levels. That is not to say that physical attraction is not important, it's just not all about looks. I am looking for new friends, both male and female. I just recently moved from Napa, California to Lubbock and I am still adjusting to the change.
I am a huge animal lover of all varieties.... that's not to say that I won't kill a snake if it comes near me but that is hardly the same thing, right. LOL.
I'm a bit old fashioned in that I enjoy "waiting on my man". I love to cook and spoil.
I'm very curvy but toned and I am in the gym numerous times per week as well. I consider myself intelligent as well as a lady, different attitudes and persona's, as is appropriate for the situation. I possess a quick wit, can be an occasional smart-a**. I’m looking for a man that I can have great conversations with ranging from political views, to sex, to venting about life and jobs... being able to talk about anything. If you’ve had a great day at work, I want to hear about it, bad day at work, that too. Someone who has the patience to build a relationship no matter what type of relationship that might be. Someone who is just as comfortable discussing Quantum Physics as he is discussing politics or how he thinks the Stars or Kings will do this year.... someone who also enjoy's quiet time as well.

I'm not looking for a relationship per se, right this second. More someone to have some fun with. (IF the chemistry is there, the relationship will happen on its own, if not I'm up for new friends too. For me, this is not an either/or situation.) A game of tennis, kayaking, debating, working out. I enjoy activity...doing something physical. Riding horses or motorcycles, kayaking, hiking, camping, a festival of some kind, boating, the theatre, having friends over for a cookout...doing something fun. I am an odd girl in that I am equally comfortable camping in a tent as I am in formal attire at our local black and white ball. Very versatile. I love camping and I'm a definite water baby... love being beside the water whether a pool, lake, river or ocean.
I volunteered a lot for several different charities when time permits.

I'm blessed that I'm good at a lot of things...except perhaps math. LOL. I love to cook and plan menu's. I'm pretty good at copying dishes from places when I go out to eat. I love to play tennis. I wouldn't say that I'm really good at it but the desire is certainly there. I also took up golf last summer and love it. I don't shoot far but I do shoot straight.

I think people notice my personality and perhaps my confidence level. I have a pretty outgoing personality. I'm usually the person speaking up when other people are still debating it... especially if it is regarding something that I think is unjust or unfair.

Way too many books to list here..or anywhere. I love to read. Same with movies although even though I occasionally enjoy a "chick flick", I'd much rather watch action or drama. I adore all types of music, everything from classical to jazz to country and rock; I even like some rapp! I'm a definite foodie and a huge cook. If you're a picky eater we are not going to get along...

Oh boy... best not to go there... I've been accused, more than once of "thinking too much". Is that actually possible? I find that most people don't think enough.

Either home relaxing with friends enjoying good food and wine or curled up watching a movie with my dogs. I'm not a "have to be going out" all the time girl...

After having moved back to Texas after having lived in California for 25 years, I'm still not feeling settled. I don't know that "West" Texas is going to work for me. I suppose I'll have to wait and see.

You want to make a new friend and would like someone to have fun with. All of the mushy stuff.... IF there is a mutual physical AND mental connection will take care of itself in it's own time and in it's own way- later.
