My self-summary
Hi, I'm Colin. I'm just me. I don't pretend to conform or claim to be unique. I'm that tall funny guy that seems to know a bunch of people, but only has a few real friends. I'm currently going to college, and tutoring as well. I tutor Calculus 1-3, Trigonometry, College Algebra, remedial maths, and public speaking for right now, but as I progress, I'll tutor more.

I like suits, good company, and a well made Gin and Tonic.
What I’m doing with my life
As I've mentioned above, I'm going to college, and I work as a tutor. I'm going for Mathematics and and minor in Marketing. Yes I realize that I'm older than the standard student, but I've got my reasons, and I take school seriously. Oh and now I'm a TA which kind of a big deal because I'm still working on my undergrad unlike many other TA's.

Recently I've moved to Laramie, and for now am just sort of exploring the city. The main reason I've moved is to attend the University of Wyoming and continue towards my bachelors degree. I've gotten my associates in mathematics and plan on continuing down that road for a while. Where I go from there, I'm not sure, but I really want to see the world.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh, listening, generally just being a good friend. I try to be the guy who is reliable and spontaneous at the same time.
The first things people usually notice about me
My height, my smile, my humor. I'm that guy who can schmooze with almost anybody.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Wow, this is such a large topic, but here goes, short essay style:

Books: I recently have read the Hunger Games series and I'm moving (more like moseying) my way through the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo books. I don't always read books that have been made into movies, but when I do, it's during my summers. Also, I tend to enjoy sci-fi novels that aren't overly geeky. Almost noir-style books, but in space. Essentially, looking at human behavior in otherworldly situations. No, not like Pride and Prejudice in space. haha

Movies: I'd like to think that I can appreciate a wide variety of movies, but since that Twilight series came out, I've found that I'm terribly prejudiced against teen-angst movies. Also, unless accompanied by a woman, chick flicks are out. Give me a good indie movie or comedy and I'm hooked. Movies I've enjoyed that I think everybody should see: The Godfather Trilogy. The original Star Wars Trilogy. There Will Be Blood. No Country for Old Men. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Cowardly Robert Ford.

Music: I enjoy all sorts of music, if you want, I can share one of my Pandora.com channels with you. I've got channels for Day/Night Jazz, Indie Techno, Upbeat mixes and some others as well. I can't really appreciate country in any form, and I think I'm also opposed to death metal.

Thought I'd start to slowly compile bands/artists I enjoy:
(Will be updated periodically)

- Paolo Nutini
- Michael Franti & Spearhead
- Joshua Radin
- Counting Crows
- Chroma
- Reliant K
- Switchfoot
- Kiros
- Ben Folds
- Jack Johnson (mostly his acoustic stuff)
-FM Static

Cuisine: Oh man, I love to eat. What's more, I love to eat great food when I can find/make it. Problem is, now that I'm a college guy, I don't exactly have the time nor the money to make the good food. How depressing that my freezer is currently filled with healthy choice and skillet meals. I love mildly spicy food and I've grown to love indian and thai food as well as the standard American, Italian, and Mexican cuisines.
The six things I could never do without
1. Good friends
2. Good music
3. Good food
4. Sarcasm
5. SLEEP
6. Family

(Not in any order)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
-School. School, and more school. Now I've finished my Calculus series, and I've moved onward. (And hopefully upward)

This semester entails: International Marketing, Advertising in Marketing, Number Theory, Complex Analysis, and Engineering Statistics

-My future. I'm still relatively undecided about my future. I know that I need a technical degree to be happy, and to have real career options later in life.

-Traveling. More than anything, I want to get out and see the world. Where have I traveled thus far? U.S. ... and parts of Canada. I'm saving though.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends, or family, or both. Although, sometimes a nice movie at my place with a girl is always fun too.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm not a closed book, but I'm not a book on tape either. You'll have to ask me if you want to know.

I still really like Lego stuff, even though I currently don't own much at all. My nephew has all of my childhood Legos.
