I consider myself an intellectual with a love of humor of all stripes. I love camping (although I haven't done it in a while), hiking, and other outdoorsy-like activities. I've lived more-or-less from coast to coast, but Wichita keeps sucking me back like a black hole or some...big...sucking kind of thing. I don't keep a large circle of acquaintances around me as I'd rather have a few truly great friends than many nominal acquaintances. I admire stoic philosophy and do try to follow its tenets with varying degrees of success. Religion-wise, I'm either an atheist who can't help but think there must be something out there or a Gnostic Christian who has a hard time believing that this isn't as good as it gets. But generally I'm a fairly easy-going fellah.

Not a whole lot right now. Writing mostly, but also trying to devise ways to move to Kansas City to attend a community college there.

Drawing, writing, language. At this time most of my artistic efforts are poured into my fiction writing which, if the mightful gods of literacy be willing, might actually provide me with income.

My eyes (they're blue, but do change colors depending on my mood at the time), then likely upon speaking to me my vocabulary is noticed, unfortunately giving me an air of pomposity which is otherwise absent from my personality.

I like British comedy a lot, especially the more innocent strains of it such as the Vicar of Dibley (a show I've only newly discovered and am quite pleased with), Black Adder, and Monty Python. I also enjoy the movie 'Titus', 'Waiting'. and just about anything Mystery Science Theater 3000 has ever done. (NEW 11/10: Just saw the movie 'UP'; I don't know if it's some sappy sentimental side or me or what but I really like this movie.

Mostly I'm into literature however. The list of books I've read and loved would be far more expansive than I have the inclination to list, but my favorites have to be The Silmarillion, Tortilla Flat, Frankenstein, all of King's Dark Tower Saga, and the unedited Illiad (I found a really great translation that manages to keep the drama of the text without straying too far either to modernism or unnecessary archaisms.

My situation with music is very much like that of books, so I'll just list a few artists I enjoy: Arvo Paert, Blind Guardian, damn near any kind of jazz, ICP (no shame in this at all, they're hilarious if you remember to listen with tongue-in-cheek), Alice in Chains, Fiona Apple, Nirvana, Delirium, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Sarah Brightman, Johannes Brahms,
etc.

As for food, I'll eat practically anything except:

Corndogs
Jimmy Dean sausage
Limburger Cheese
Grapefruit (I don't understand the point of eating a fruit that's bitter and nasty and generally unpleasant to eat.)

Tools for writing, coffee, boots, The Silmarillion...I guess socks (to go with the boots) and...well, everything else is disposable, more or less.

Also, I do have something of a connoisseur's relationship with pipe tobacco. To me it's one of the most relaxing things I know to do, to light a pipe, sip at some coffee and read. But I don't dip or chew at all. Tried it once, retched, and that was good enough for me.
