I am open minded, level headed, and easily excited.
My Self-Summary
I'm an easy going guy, trying to enjoy the simple things in life. I
tend to sit back and observe when first meeting someone, but
generally hit it off with almost anyone once we've managed to break
the ice. I like to keep everyone engaged and ammused without trying
to be the "look at me" center of attention sort.
I've got far too many DVDs. I spend far too much time listening to
music. I make far too many trips to the 24 hour Asda for no reason
other than to walk around with my friends and look at the same
things, and make the same jokes we did last time. I'm far too old
to still like
wrestling, but its part of holding on
to my youth, and part of not really caring what i "should" enjoy. I
have far too many ideas of what i should do "next time i go back to
New York."
I'm loyal, trustworthy, reliable. I know when to talk and when to
listen. I love to drive. I enjoy a "quiet one in," as much as I
enjoy a "wild one out." I have a mind of my own, and my own
opinions but have the rare ability to accept other peoples aswell.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in "retail" (because lets be honest, nobody like to admit
they work in a supermarket.) I plan on keeping this up for as long
as I need.
I still think I'm too young for a 'life plan.' There is still a
world of new knowledge I still need to have the chance
misunderstand, before I decide what I want to learn. There are any
number of places I still need to find on the map by chance before I
decide where I want to visit.
I'll be willing to stay indecisive to keep my options open.
I’m really good at
I can make people laugh. It's always better to make someone laugh
without really trying, but failing that i can always come up with
something to put a smile on some ones face.
While its not really a talent, I think I've got a better grasp of
the English language than what can be considered the 'average.' I'm
not the worlds most on the ball speller, but i can proudly
construct coherent sentences both written and spoken to get my
points across... which is pretty uncommon these days.
The first things people usually notice about me
Usually nothing, i generally tend to just blend in despite being
hard to miss. Failing that i was told by a seemingly depressed lady
in Germany "You have a very big smile, why do you smile so much?
You must be the happiest man in Liverpool."
I am now
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books - Anything by
Robert Rankin with notable
favorites being the Armageddon trilogy, and Hollow Chocolate
Bunny's of the Apocalypse. I tend to read more general interest
books more than novels, anything full of stats, facts, lists,
stories, pictures and such will do me, stuff like Maddox's Alphabet
of Manliness,
QI's book
of general ignorance, and the Postsecret and Found collections. I
do plan on doing a bit more cultured reading during 2009.
Movies - I debated putting a list here, since "most people
don't bother reading them" but hey, I really love film, so i might
aswell cater for the people who do too. I like far too many to list
a favorite, or even favorite genre as I love everything from Horror
to Comedy to Drama to World Cinema. But If you like anything such
as,
Eternal
Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,
Amelie,
Oldboy,
The Boondock Saints,
LOTR - Return of the
King,
Lost in Translation,
Terminator 2,
The Life
Aquatic with Steve Zissou,
The Royal Tenenbaums,
Rushmore,
Bottle
Rocket,
Sympathy for Mr.
Vengeance,
Lady Vengeance,
Nightmare on Elm
St. Series,
Evil Dead 2,
Blazing Saddles,
Office Space,
Robin Hood : Prince
of Thieves,
Groundhog Day,
Sideways,
Fargo,
The Producers,
Good Will Hunting,
Magnolia,
Haute
Tension,
Battle Royale,
La Vita e bella,
Dellamorte
Dellamore,
Hellraiser 2,
Misery or
Requiem for a Dream... then
we might be on the same wavelength.
Music - I'm mainly a fan of SkaPunk with a place in my ear
for Metal (Power to Death, via Black, Battle, Hair, Folk, Epic and
even some Core), but I like to listen to a broad range of music and
not stick to one genre or sub-genre. If pushed to pick a few
favorites.
Rx
Bandits,
Fenix
TX,
Streetlight Manifesto,
Reel Big
Fish,
Mad
Caddies and
Ska-P would be up there.
Food - I'm not as fussy as i should be, but generally try to
eat as healthy as possible (which can be tough working nights.)
Always willing to try a new restaurant or type of food, but I love
anything home cooked most of all. I've also realised that cream
crackers, with anything on are my ultimate snack food.
The six things I could never do without
My Computer - Its all here or me, I read the news and
weather here, i listen to my music here, talk to my friends here,
and generally do other stuff crucial to me.
My Friends - I have some of my best friends from school, a
great bunch of people in work, and just others who i found along
the way... they're all important to me in different ways.
Music - I listen to music to suit my mood, if i need
cheering up, or to get hyped, to wind down and relax or just
concentrate, i can find something to suit.
Laughter - I have a pretty easy sense of humor, so this one
comes pretty often... even if i has to be at someone falling over i
get my laughs.
My car - I've got far to used to the convenience it offers
to ever think about going back, i can go to gigs or shows in
different parts of the country that would have usually been
improbable, or just call in on friends whenever, where ever.
My little sisters - No matter what mood I'm in, good or bad,
this pair can always bring me up to the next level by doing nothing
other than being two little girls without a care in the world.
Probably the funniest people i know
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I mostly daydream about things. Mostly about being in the best band
in the world, but occasionally about other things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either working, or relaxing at home on after my run of shifts. I
tend to avoid going out at the weekends, usually aiming for the
early-mid week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I have nothing freakishly interesting to say here. I have 2
nipples, 10 toes, 8 fingers and 2 thumbs. No birth marks,
everything faces the right direction and yeah.... nothing.
I did fall down an escalator once as a child though, took me untill
about 16 to get over the fear.
I'm probably attracted to more women because of how they sound on
the radio, than I am because of how they look.
You should message me if
You're willing to engage in a conversation past "hey whats
up?"
You've got a lovely Radio voice.
You can make a mean cream cracker.
