Books: I like anything with good characters and an interesting
story (though I wish that I had time to read more). LoTR,
Inheritence Trilogy, Dark Jewels Trilogy, Good Omens, Manga
(Current favorites are Bleach, Berzerk, and Death Note), Baba,
Tuesdays with Morrie, The Five People You Meet in Heaven etc. Just
Finished: American Gods, HP7: Deathly Hallows Currently reading: V
Movies: I like pretty much any kind of movie. But if I had to make
a short list: Fist of Legend, Ong Bak, The Princess Bride
of the Caribbean, V for Vendetta
, Eternal Sunshine
of a Spotless Mind, Get Shorty, Hudson Hawk
, Legend of Drunken
Master Accepted, Robin Hood: Men in Tights (Anything Mel Brooks for
that matter), Boondock Saints, Spirited Away (Just about anything
that Miyazaki has made really), Hoodwinked, Invincible ... so many
more...ok maybe it wasn't really a short list.
Watching movies has always been one of my favorite relaxation
passtimes. Nothing is as relaxing as curling up on the couch and
watching a good movie. Except maybe curling up with someone on the
couch and watching a good movie.
TV: (since most people add this in) I'm not huge on watching TV.
Every once in a while I find a show that I really like, but I never
watch it when it's supposed to be on, I either find an internet
broadcast of it, or rent the dvd of the season. A few that I like
are: Heroes, Firefly, M*A*S*H*, Cowboy Bebop, and Samurai
Music: I'll listen to about everything. I was raised on Jimmy Buffett
you'll find everything from Bloodhound Gang
to Elvis Costello
on my iPod. Mix in a little Rage, System of a Down, and
Weird Al Yankovich and you'll have a pretty good idea of how
eclectic my tastes can be. I've recently discovered Regina Spektor
and am amazed by her voice.
Food: I love trying new foods. Spicy, sweet, sour, bitter. It's all
good. Well, most of it, you can't make everything edible. Sushi is
definitely one of my favorites. A little wasabi, soy sauce and
ginger, and it's a small slab of heaven on top of rice. When I get
the time I like to cook, my favorites to make are steamed Baos and
Peanut Chicken over rice.
