I'm a reader, writer, weight-lifter, and doctoral student in rhetoric. I believe relationships are the only truly real things there are--that the appearence of reality is the substance of pure relationship. I'm a feminist (in that I reject patriarchy), passionate about art (especially poetry and literature), a Christian of the Buberian, I and Thou sort, and deeply committed to my research goal. I am trying to identify why we tend to attack people we disagree with, instead of advocating our own values and positions. I practice BDSM, with a clear emphasis on the D/s aspect.

I spent 15 years in the Marine Corps and that experience shaped my masculinity. I spent several years fighting PKA Super-fights and NC Tuffman. My construction of masculinity is without mind-body dualism: not a sensitive or intelligent weakling, not a dumb brute. Brilliant, thoughtful brute sounds good to me.

Just sold my private practice in financial services to pursue my doctorate in rhetoric. Been accepted and in turn accepted an assitanship at Carnegie-Mellon University's Rhetoric Program.
