My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Retired college swimmer, part-time intellect, part-time traveler, and full-time gentleman. Born and raised in GA. Currently rediscovering my love for the south by living in the Midwest.

Spontaneous traveling is my escape when my job allows. Need a dinner buddy? I've got you covered. Concert for two? Sign me up. Reliable wedding date? I'm your man.

Disclaimer: I work/live in Ohio, but am not planning on staying very long. Not cut out for the country life. I must go, the city needs me.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently working in college admissions and prepping for graduate school (MEd in Higher Ed). A passion for education runs in my family.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Knowing the difference between you're and your. Extra credit: I also know the difference between their, they're, and there. It pains me greatly that terrible grammar seems to be a problem of epidemic proportions.

Puns. I enjoy putting my English degree to good use and making people laugh in the process (or at least groan because my jokes are so bad).

Navigating airports: I fly. A lot. I tried to do an estimate of how many miles I have flown over my lifetime and gave up once I got over 250,000.

Working out/Fitness. You'll find me in the gym or in the pool 5-6 times a week. I'm really wanting to get into yoga, so if you want to bring me to my first class, I would go! Just let me know, my schedule is flexible...

...see what I said about puns? I apologize.

"Dressing well is a form of good manners." -Tom Ford

Cole Haan and Brooks Brothers are my go-to. GQ helps to guide my style. I'm big on suits and business casual attire. I'm a city guy that's not afraid to get dirty. It's just not my first choice of action.

I actually enjoy cooking. Hard to believe, I know.

I'm a Great Gatsby kind of guy.

Music: everything from rap to rock to country. I can be convinced to listen to about anything at least once. This is why I pay monthly for Spotify. Worth every penny.

Books: I was an English major. Literature concentration. I'm sure you see where I'm going with this.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Close friends and family
Technology (I could take over the world with my iPhone/iPad)
Air travel
My car + radar detector
Rational/logical thought
A sense of humor
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to change the world for the better. You know, nothing too heavy. I also think about how much I miss having access to Sunday brunch spots. Is it really brunch if you can't order a Bloody Mary or mimosa? Just curious.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
in a different city exploring with friends (old or new). Or traveling in general. Or watching all the shows I missed during the week while lounging in sweatpants. That de-escalated quickly.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Every time I watch an episode of Suits, I start to heavily reconsider deciding not to go to law school.

you made it this far and are curious about what you read. And if you are interested in genuine conversation and friendship that could one day lead to something more (or just a great friendship)

you are interested in finding out if I really will fly across the country simply to meet you for dinner, drinks, etc. Spoiler alert: I will.

you're willing to take a risk and get to know a guy who probably isn't just on the other side of town.

Instant props/attention-grabber: women who aren't afraid to break the ice first.
