I am Energetic, Random, and Happy.
My Self-Summary
I am single, 26, with my own house, car, and a respectable job in
the IT industry. When I go home after work, even though I've been
staring at computer screens all day, I still like to come home and
bust some zombie heads, or rock out in rock band, or race the world
in Burnout. This is a huge turnoff for a lot of women, and since
the
video game
enthusiast isn't as popular on the east coast as the west, it's
hard to find a compatible woman who matches my rather eclectic
tastes.
I want someone who will offer at least halfway-decent competition
at what I play, I won't get mad if I lose, I will show you how to
play if you want to learn, and I won't let you win once you show
that you know what you're doing (or upon request ;)). I also love
playing cooperatively, because feelings get bruised when
competition gets a little TOO heated. I figured I'd put this near
the top; it gets sweeter from here on out.
I have a
random
sense of humor, and I can make just about anything seem funny with
the right person, and the right situation. I'm funny enough to be
told to do stand-up, but smart enough to recognize my brand of
humor doesn't work on-stage. My inter-personal humor is like a
gobstopper. I'm sweet at first, but when you get to know me, I get
sour with sarcasm. When I'm poking fun at someone, it's evidence
that I'm very comfortable with them. If I say something insulting,
I don't usually mean it, and apologize if I do.
My musical tastes are especially eclectic. My interests run the
gamut, from
showtunes to
metal. I can get really into the stuff
that I like, including singing along and thrashing (I won't call it
dancing, lol). Some women find this to be disturbing, but really,
it's just me enjoying myself. I don't listen to
Rob Zombie and
Godsmack for the message;
I simply like how it sounds. It resonates with me, and my ideal
match will understand what that means. Also, I started playing the
drums last year. I'm
no Neil Peart or Lars Ulrich, but I can keep a basic beat. I jam
with my friends as often as I can. I sing sometimes, and if we have
similar music tastes, I love to have someone sing along!
In addition to my passion for
music and
video games, I also enjoy
writing. My expansive
vocabulary frequently flustered my former beau, so if you can keep
on the level with me verbally, that would be fantastic. I don't
dock points if you opt not to employ your own arsenal of
multisyllabic ordinance. I wrote a novella about four years ago,
and am waiting for inspiration to come by and help me finish it.
Will you bring such inspiration with you?
Physically, I'm 5'7, 220lbs. I'm a chunky munkey, but I'd say I
carry it pretty well. I've often been told I'm "cute," but
aesthetics are always subjective. As such, I assume to make no
assumptions until we've met in person; photos are generally
misleading.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in a call center for State Department, writing tickets and
doing basic troubleshooting. It's nothing glamorous, but I find it
to be rewarding and fun.
Keeping up my house, and learning new things. I'm starting to get a
real passion for
music(as influenced by one of my best
friends) and am getting better at the
drums, and hope to teach myself guitar
soon!
I’m really good at
Video Games - Nothing to brag about, but I will anyway. I'm
notorious in my circle for being able to pick up a game and play
it. The exception here is sports games. Those require the fandom of
someone who has been following the sport for years, just to be
halfway decent.
Writing - It's been a while since I've been creative, but when I
am, I'm unstoppable!
"Magic Fingers" - Per my ex, with whom I'm still friends.
Evidently, they're quite magical.
Cooking - Nothing fancy, but I can whip up a damn good cheese
steak, simple spaghetti, and I often impress myself with the
awesomeness of my omelettes.
The first things people usually notice about me
My crazy laugh. I am known to have a rather hearty guffaw. Also,
I'd heard that you can always tell apart the guys who know how to
cook from the ones who don't. The latter don't enjoy their own
cooking, and the former do, and it shows!
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Favorite Books: Jurassic Park by Crichton; Thursday Next series by
Fforde
Favorite Movies: Back to the Future; Krull; Independence Day; Fight
Club, Sin City
Favorite Music:
Rock,
Metal,
Dance,
Techno specifically Rob Zombie, Godsmack,
Shadows Fall, and Juno Reactor, but I'm always open to something
new and exciting! I'm getting more into indy rock, specifically
Jucifer
Favorite Foods: Lasagne, Pesto, Pizza, Hamburgers, Broccoli
Favorite Video Games: Mega Man, Soul Calibur, Xenogears,
Intelligent Qube
The six things I could never do without
1) My Family - They are the backbone of my life, the center upon
whom I rely. It's encouraging and comforting to know they're
there.
2) Friends - I find myself quite miserable without my friends. I
can do well enough on my own, but prefer to spend my time with
other people in small groups (5 or fewer)
3) Car
4) House
5) Fresh Air (not just the indoorsy recycled stuff)
6) Video games - as if that wasn't painfully obvious by now.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What happens when an unstoppable force encounters an immovable
object?
On a typical Friday night I am
Relaxing some way or another. I work saturdays, so I'm not up/out
too late on Fridays anymore.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I've never had sex. Nope, not once. And if masturbation counted,
we'd all be filthy sluts.
Oddly enough, people don't believe me on this. I can't imagine why
I'd put something like that here if it WASN'T true...
You should message me if
Ideally, I'd like someone between 21 and 31 (it's okay if you're a
little older), and proportional; you don't have to be fit or thin -
curves in all the right places preferred! Race mostly doesn't
matter, but I'm not romantically interested in black women.
I look forward to hearing from you!
