My self-summary
Hi, I'm Taylor. I've lived in Columbia, MO for the past 17 years, but I moved to the Atlanta area at the end of August, 2012. I was born and raised in Louisiana, so I'm a Cajun girl at heart. I grew to love the Midwest, but have enjoyed being back in the South. Special shout out to all my friends from Alchemy and Frolicon!

I have two geeky/nerdy boys that are 15 and 11. I live the suburban life in southern-most outskirts of Cumming. My wooly, black Labradoodle needed a yard to play in. Plus, Cumming is the happiest place on earth, right?

I'm working on a personal transformation and I'm pleased to say I've lost 125 pounds. Making better choices and moving more have helped tremendously. I'm enjoying my new lifestyle change!

I work for an insurance company in town, and love my job. The job is continually changing and morphing into something new, which has it's own set of challenges. Luckily, I consider most of my coworkers as very close friends, so it's a cool way to spend my day. I don't get to travel with the job as much as I used to, but when I do, I usually get to see some interesting cities and more coworker friends.

I'm a raging social liberal with some moderate views on fiscal issues. I love discussing politics and world events, so feel free to start a conversation about it.

I'm a newly certified Open Water Scuba Diver. If you know of any dive spots close to the ATL, let me know, because I need to get back in the water!

Not sure what type of relationship I need/want. I'm figuring that out as I go along. I do tend to remain friends with most people I have dated from this site. I'm honest and I have nothing to hide and I look for the same in a friend/partner. Ideally, and not to sound like a stupid chick flick movie, I would love to have someone care about me, and think I'm the bee's knees. I guess I want to be swept off my feet with romance and 100% emotional investment in us, because in all my years of marriage/divorce/dating, that has never happened. I would love grand, romantic gestures every once in a while too. I'm not talking anything expensive, like trips to Paris, but even just someone showing up at my work with a bouquet of grocery store flowers to walk me to my car, and kissing me passionately enough to take my breath away. Wow, that really is over the top cheesiness, but I'm getting to the age that I'm sick of the emotionless bullshit. Sorry! But, I guess my life has changed some, and those things would be nice every once in a while. But every good gesture deserves one in return. So in exchange for my surprise flowers and breath-taking kisses, I will be the girl that brings you food or coffee when pulling an all nighter and need the support. I'll be there for you, if you are there for me.

I've seen lots of guys state what type of girl they want in this section, so I thought I would state which type of guy I want. It's only fair, right? I would like a guy that's intelligent, funny, has a steady decent job, loves to travel, enjoys microbrews, and most importantly, lacks mental illness. And bonus for me if you happen to be a fabulously wealthy venture captialist with a jet setting lifestyle and you look like Clive Owen, but I'm not picky. I don't bite (unless asked), so if you don't meet most of the criteria, you should still send me a message.
What I’m doing with my life
I work weekdays and celebrate weekends. I feel like I'm in a good place in my life right now, and happier than I have ever been.
I’m really good at
Eavesdropping. It's a terrible addiction. I love going out in public and listening to others' conversations. It goes hand in hand with people watching too.

I have to admit, I cook fairly well. I grew up in a small cafe that my grandparents owned, so I spent a lot of time beside my grandmother watching everything she did. Some specialties of mine are: Jambalaya, Gumbo, BBQ Shrimp, Lasagne, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Crawfish Etouffee, Stuffed Peppers, and according to my kids, spaghetti and meatballs.

I'm also really good at turning almost any innocent conversation into a dirty one. Who doesn't like a "That deep of a penetration was hard...That's what she said" joke?
The first things people usually notice about me
My strawberry blonde hair, my smile, and my very infectious laugh. I'm a big, beautiful woman, and I make no apologies for my curves, but they are shrinking! I think people also notice my confident and flirty personality.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - I'm a total geek at heart, so I love all things fantasy. I love the George RR Martin "Ice & Fire" books, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Anne Rice's Vampire and Witch series, The Golden Compass series (His Dark Works), Stieg Larson's Dragon Tattoo Trilogy (Lisbeth is so freaking HOT!) and even the Eragon/dragon books. I also enjoy southern chick/lit memoirs. Some of my other favorite non-fantasy books are Life of Pi, Empire Falls, The Lovely Bones, Middlesex, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, and the Charlaine Harris vampire books.

Pod Casts! I love Freakonomics and Radio Lab. I've embraced my inner NPR douchebaggery, and enjoy some This American Life on occasion.

Movies - The Big Lebowski, The Departed, Hot Fuzz, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Godfather, Office Space, The Goonies, The Silence Of The Lambs ("Oh, Agent Starling, you think you can dissect me with this blunt little tool?"), Shaun of the Dead, Garden State, Fargo, O Brother Where Art Thou, Pulp Fiction, American Beauty, Raising Arizona. I enjoy a good/bad B Zombie movie, and generally anything with Zombies. Are you prepared for their attack?

Music - Raconteurs, White Stripes, The Dead Weather, Wilco, Ryan Adams, The Avett Brothers, The Decemberists, The Cure, Concrete Blonde, Counting Crows, Pearl Jam, Black Keys, My Morning Jacket, Deathcab for Cutie, Flight of the Conchords, Imogen Heap, Dwight Yoakum, Johnny Cash, Son Volt, Uncle Tupelo, Billy Bragg, Tori Amos, Oasis. Lately, I've been listening to a lot of folk/alt country, but it has been nice to hear groups like Band of Horses and Arcade Fire. I also enjoy most other types of music, with the exception of modern country, and bubble-gum pop.

Food/Beverages - A home made breakfast is my favorite meal. I am a total beer snob. I would rather have water than crappy beer. I've become a Hop Head, and some of my favorites are Flat Branch's Ed's IPA and Boulevard's DDHDWIPA. I'm also a fan of stouts, especially an Imperial. I will take a good, spicy dirty Bloody Mary any day of the week.

Don't you think they should have a TV category here? Some of my favorite shows are: Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Dexter, Curb Your Enthusiasm, True Blood, Bored to Death, Entourage, Hung, Flight of the Conchords, Lost, Project Runway, Big Love, Eastbound and Down, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Arrested Development.
The six things I could never do without
Other than my children, it's all just stuff.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
When are the Avett Brothers going to tour again? Where's my next vacation spot?
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with the kids, catching up on DVR'd stuff, or wishing I was on a date with you. I've also been exploring Atlanta and I've decided Decatur and Roswell are two of my favorite places to hang out on Friday evenings.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I love kissing. Love it. The more I can get, the better. I am not a wine drinker. I know, that's crazy talk, but it makes my head hurt.
I’m looking for
  • Straight guys only
  • Ages 30–44
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
You should send me a message if you want to get to know a smart, sexy and assertive woman.

I am NOT looking for casual sex. Do NOT message me if this is all you want. I would like to go on a traditional date with someone and see where things go.

You should NOT message me if:
1. You do not like people who aren't exactly like you. If you use the words "God will judge gay people" then do NOT bother contacting me.
2. If you live in another country. There is absolutely no chance in hell we will ever meet, so why waste my time or yours?
3. You are hyper religious, racist, or bigot.
