Hey there! Name's Karl! I'm not the best at writing these things... but here we go!

As I'm sure you're aware since ya found me, I'm a 27 year old dude out in South Beloit, IL. I love working on cars. Saving poor ol' beaters (usually 80's Chrysler K-cars) from getting scrapped is something I've always been passionate about. I also like other things too... vintage video games, anime, going to the zoo, random conversation, road trips, and romantic outings among many other things. I also have a little girl who's almost two!

I think of myself as a hopeless romantic sometimes as well as one of the few guys I know who still thinks chivalry is important. I try my best to be as courteous to other people and put a smile on everyone's face. I've also been told I have a goofy sense of humor and am a pleasant person to be around! Hurray!

I believe I am kind, caring, and I know for a fact that I love having fun!

Currently, I am surviving being "self employed" with fixing up and selling cars as well as doing repairs. Besides that, I'm trying to get into some sort of autocross or road racing since it's always been something I wanted to do. I'd like to eventually start my own little car dealer and not practice the unethical behaviors I see at many of these places... putting people in safe cars that I fix up has been something I've done for years now. I've thought about going back to school and enhancing my brain but I haven't figured out what to go for! Also, of course, I'm a daddy so I take care of my daughter.

Lots of things! I can fix cars, set up a home theater system, and even make you dinner that's not cooked in a microwave! I'd say I'm a pretty good motivator, listener, and spontaneous let's go do this crazy idea now kind of guy. I'm also pretty good with being compassionate, very trustworthy, and a very loyal kind of person. You know the old saying, treat others as you want to be treated! I'd say I also have a pretty good knack at getting people motivated. I've also been told I'm a good dad haha!

One of the first things people notice about me as far as I can tell (and have been told) is that I am usually pretty friendly as well as silly. I try to brighten up people's day no matter who they are and where we are. Otherwise, people usually notice the fact that I appear to be older than I am... which is slightly annoying but... eh... it's part of being Sicilian.

Books: I usually enjoy technical books that teach me new things like vehicle repair manuals or other knowledge gaining literature. As for storybooks... I prefer video format for that kind of thing... although I have fond memories of "Catcher in the Rye" and "The Great Gatsby."

Movies: Movies... hmm... most of the DVD's I own are animes since my friends/parents/etc would let me borrow their movies if I wanted to watch something else. I enjoy just about anything except for super gore and blood stuff. I do have a lot of 70's and 80's movies that I enjoy watching. Stuff when story was more important than special effects is what really catches my eye and is enjoyable to me. Yes, I will watch a "chick flick" with you without complaining. Oh, I have Netflix instant streaming so now I can watch lots of other cool stuff. I can say this though... James Bond is AWESOME!

TV Shows: Television... hmm... I haven't had cable tv for a while... Let's see... When I used to I enjoyed Family Guy, ATHF, Pokémon (I was the prime target group for when it was new!), Top Gear, Ghost Hunters, GHI, and Mythbusters.

Music: I listen to almost anything... just not too fond of "today's" music on the radio or country. For some reason disco music holds a special place in my heart... not sure why but it just does. I also am pretty fond of eurodance and the occasional heavy metal. Of course, I love the 80's stuff too... Rock, Pop, and so forth. Good times back then.

Food: I love tacos... they are my favorite. Denali's Pizza is delicious. La Taqueria in Carol Stream... best Mexican food EVER. I'm on a first name basis with most of the restaurants around here as well so I know the good stuff to get at them :-p

Video Games even though it's not listed: Super Mario World, by far. I played that game for so long as a kid it's not even funny. I do own a very large collection of vintage gaming systems though as well as Japanese pachinko and pachislo machines. Those aren't really "video games" but a lot of them do have TV displays on them. I'm also an ace at Yoshi's Cookie and Puyo Puyo.

I wasn't sure what to put for this since it doesn't state if it's objects, emotions, states of need, or what have you... so here's my attempt at this question.
1. My daughter... she means the world to me but that should go without saying
2. Myself... cuz... yeah... can't get rid of myself for sure!
3. Being alive... because then I would be dead so that doesn't work
4. Good tacos from La Taqueria or Tacos Gonzalez.
5. My 1984 Dodge Aries K wagon... took 14 years to find one
6. Beet-Hoven, my stuffed dog I've had since I was 5

I think about a lot of weird random stuff... odd business ideas, ways to build a sweet fortress, places to go, songs to sing, and things to learn. I used to write lame romance stories... so I think about that too. I also think of ways to make my cars faster since it's fun to go fast. One of the things I think about a lot but wish I didn't is "What might have been" and "How would things be if X was done differently" and that sort of thing consumes my mind when it's idle all too often.

My Friday nights are spent just like any other night currently. Working on car stuff, playing a video game, spending time with my kid, or screwing around with the computer. I was never really into the bar scene so it was never anything too crazy for me.

My stuffed dog, Beet Hoven, still sits on my bed.
