A born and raised New Yorker, I'm quick witted, a quick talker, and a quick walker.
I love all kinds of music, and I'm really open minded, but I tend to really connect with only particular songs in each genre. I gravitate towards rock, jazz, hip-hop, r&b, and world music. Music that's made purely for profit's sake loses me unless it's just so catchy I can't help myself. I respect artists with real vision, and I don't care about how they act. Maynard James Keenan comes to mind.
I love to get lost in philosophy, but I'm still a newbie. I enjoy discussing concepts, social issues, and other heady topics. Thinkers turn me on. Truly, the way to my heart is not through my stomach, but through my mind.
I'm an outgoing character, and I tend to take control of a situation when it's not being run well. According to a personality test, I'm an ENTP, if you care about that sort of thing. It's shown mostly in groups. I'm also a bit of an introvert. An introverted extrovert, you could say.
I love to travel. I recently returned from a year-long trip throughout the Asian continent, and it was an amazing journey, particularly India and Burma. I love the feeling of being lost in a foreign land with my wits to guide me. Since being back I've tried to continue the ongoing theme of my trip and test my limits, push my creativity, and absorb new experiences.
Speaking of which, I hold the value of experience (and by extension, wisdom) in high regard. I respect both in others.
I'll try almost anything at least once.
Creativity inspires me. I love to be around it, and the energy fuels my own creative endeavors. As with music, I respect what I arbitrarily consider to be real vision, and the overt influence of money puts a sour taste in my mouth. I value expression over skill. Between writing drawing, work, and photography, I like to get lost in my own creativity, and the moment it becomes work it loses me. I have a sketchbook I carry mostly everywhere and it gets its most use on the train.
