(Moved to DC February 2015 for a Tech Consulting job)

I will be starting a new tech consulting position in Washington, DC on February 9th, 2015. I am sad to leave Philadelphia but am excited to see what DC has in store for me. I will be starting a new chapter and needing a whole bunch of words and sentences to fill its pages. If you are in DC and interested in imparting some words, sentences, or perhaps even a whole page to fill in this chapter, please do! I would love to make friends in the area.

Music is a pretty big deal for me:

Affable guy looking for legitimate friendships. Would love to find an activity partner for sports, trying out new restaurants, or video games. I am also receptive to flirtation, but dates would be even better if wanting to play with me in that hemisphere. In a new city, perhaps a relationship is not ideal, but I honestly am very comfortable with commitment at this juncture in my life.

Big plus if you enjoy karaoke, trying every restaurant in town, and/or are comfortable turning on any movie at random and giving it a try.

I glide along a wide-swinging pendulum of taste and opinion and can comfortably digest any content, movie, song, argument, while at least taking something away from it. I do not like people that can put such certainty in their peeves and dislikes at such a young age. Our preferences are rife with so much subtlety and intricate context that I really do not understand why people feel the need to categorize themselves into any box. Chances are, there are at least some aspects of my least favorite things that I do enjoy. I am not supporting grovelers, I just prefer your opinions be flexible. Enjoy playing devil's advocate and taking sides so as to learn more and widen your understanding for things rather than further cement or narrow your fixed opinions.

That being said, please do not ask me my sign.

I'm a big carnivore but I love seitan and tofu. Seitan cheesesteaks are much preferred than the "real" thing. I just like experimenting with food as much as I can!
Sadly, my GERD has become much too sever to partake in food expeditions as I used to. I am hoping to cure it soon.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Challenges. While most people get demotivated when faced with a challenge, I thrive. If there is something that sounds particularly difficult, my ears perk up.
2. Self-Awareness. I like to be on the up and up with self-improvement. Not that new age drivel your mom reads, but just that overall maintenance of body and mind.
3. Humility. I can make fun of myself. You should be able to as well.
4. World Wide Web. So literal, but seriously who doesn't benefit from it?
5. Sex. Sex is not just something people do for pleasure, but it is part of who we are. Sick of people ashamed of their sexuality, and I don't mean sexual orientation! This doesn't mean I can't go a second without it, but I definitely would not want to be deprived or limited from it.
6. Friends. Alone time is wonderful and essential for a stable mind, but life would certainly be dull without others to share it with :).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Sociological Issues like equal opportunity hiring and career opportunities, gender equality, etc...

How to plan entire vacations based on karaoke nights at uncharted, local bars.

How to make my friends and loved ones happy :)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I have been in school for seven years. I am not sure what my Fridays will become but I hope merry.
I'd be just as happy with a board game night with friends as I would going out for a light drink.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I like teddy bears :P.
