I am odd, a knowledge junkie, and often rather silly.

My Self-Summary

Hi! My name is Bob Foster. I consider myself different from the average person. I'm a big geek. I love the odd, interesting, and weird. This ranging from movies, book and entertainments to the rest of the world: news, travel and ghosts & hauntings (used to ghost hunt alot with friends and have had too many experiences). That's not to say I don't like regular things: for I do. I just like to keep options open and take in everything (and constantly gain knowledge and information.) I'm a big film buff and a constant reader. Read on for a better take.

What I’m doing with my life

At the moment - I'm in the Navy, but don't hold that against me. But wait! There's More! I'm going to use the Navy to get my Masters in English (though my B.S. is in Criminal Justice).
I tend. I spend my time hanging out in my room watching movies, reading and writing.
But I'm here to meet more people and gain footing in this area. I wish to connect with people on my same wavelength who I can enjoy the night with and not be cooped up at my barracks.

I’m really good at

Hmm, a question all about ego.
They ask so here goes - I'm going to let loose. I'm usually good at making people laugh and smile - I'm good at finding the right button that clicks with them. I take in information rather well - I'm a knowledge junkie and just seep in it, and find a way to use it - even if just in anecdotal form. I'd like to say I'm good writer - but I think I'm very far from that but perchance one day.
I think I'm a decent enough actor and want to work on that too.

The first things people usually notice about me

My smile and my blue eyes that have a slightly crazy shine (I had to ask others and I liked this one best).

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Great Cthulhu help me, I'm a entertainment junkie.
Movie wise I really do watch about everything! I'm a horror buff though I'll really watch everything. Favorite movies include - Star Wars, Evil Dead, Indiana Jones, Batman films (I'm a comic nut too), pure cheesy horror films, Godfather trilogy, works of Argento, Romero, Bava, Kubrick, Fulci, Scorsese, and the like. I'll edit myself to here but the point is made. Special note is Rocky Horror. Truly my favorite movie of all time - not just the film but how much its influenced my life. I've shadowcasted it for almost a decade. Thus, between it and far too much Mystery Science Theater 3000 have forever left me riffing movies. No worries - I can keep quiet but I love to comment in the right times.

Music - Beatles, Talking Heads, They Might Be Giants, Oingo Boingo, Aerosmith, AC/DC, barenaked ladies... I love classic rock, showtunes (favorite shows - Rocky Horror, Shock Treatment, Phantom of the Paradise, Hedwig, Sweeney Todd, Little shop and I could go on but I won't). I generally accept most music but frankly so much of what counts as "rock" today does not sit with me - the originally seems to be all gone.

Books - My bookshelf is overflowing. That is complete true. Book are piled everywhere I can put them. Can't stop reading. Neil Gaiman is king. If you like Neil than you understand me. Bentley Little, Clive Barker, King, Roald Dahl, Chuck Palaniuk are my tops for fiction authors. I recently starting reading the Ender series. I should have a long while ago, for I love it. Easily a new favorite. Non-fiction... if I find it interesting I'll read it (a favorite would be Stiff: The Curious Life of Cadavers by Mary Roach)

The six things I could never do without

1: A sense of humor - its abstract but can't go without 2: Pants are normally good thing to have - but not always. 3: A pad and pen to write random notes. 4: My Right Hand - not much of a choice as its attached to my body. 5: A way to continue to learn 6: a good book shoved into my pocket.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The stories I want to tell and the things I want to do.

On a typical Friday night I am

Unfortunately, I work nights at the moment, but I get off around 9. I'd much be rather be elsewhere. After, I tend just to go back to my room as my friends are already out.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Not too private but I don't tell just anyone for they take it wrong. The Rocky Horror stuff. Doing the show - dressing up for it and acting it. All parts and all things involved - including fishnets, make up, costuming, and acting. I'm comfortable enough with myself and as an actor to act as gay/bi man or play a woman.

You should message me if
