My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm mostly pretty laid back. Kind of go with the flow. Although I have fought for things I believe in. I can be quite passionate.

I try to keep myself in reasonable shape. Exercise is important to me. I try to keep healthy.

I like to be creative. I have an interest in how things are made. I like the Arts but more in a small 'a' way. It's just something interesting to take in.

I have been called an emotional "CareGiver" and that surprised me. I mentioned this to a close friend and she said it was true. It might just be a phase that I'm going through though.

I'm not the life of the party guy. I don't need to be the center of attention. I'm the kind of guy that you can rely on being there for you. I care more in a few special people in my life.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Off and on I had been trying to help people deal with the effects of past life events. Offer support when I can. I have cut back on this even though it is important to me. Time to take better care of me.

Other than that I design non-sexy electronic products (no iPad) to pay the bills. It's challenging and creative, and I like it.

I'm thinking of retiring soon but I'm not there yet. I'm looking forward to all the hobbies I never get to.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
As I said above, I design electronics for a living. I think I am pretty good at it. While I hate the term "thinking outside the box" it does apply to me. I think it is necessary if you need to come up with creative solutions.

Compassion and sensitivity. Sometimes more than I would like. Ow. I have been told that I communicate very well, person to person. But I think that really depends on the subject.

I'm not sure I should put this here but I doubt many people will see it so it probably doesn't matter. This was part of a message I got from someone I write to. (and care about)

I cried reading the last message you sent. You have such a beautiful soul if you only knew. You are a very special person. I know you are not much for God but I do thank him for you. Whether you believe it or not I want you to know that God has used you to answer one of my prayers.

That still makes me emotional when I read it. But very few will end up hearing the why behind it. To say it's personal is an understatement.

I listen to classical music most of the time. While I occasionally like my ACDC loud I tend to not go there that often. I have never been a big fan of Country music. I like Tanya Tucker's "It's A Little Too Late" and some older songs but I have been listening to more current female "country" singers. Some of it ends up making me cry so I tend to keep that as a private thing because I don't want people to know that I'm that sensitive. One of my favorites is PJ Harvey. Her 2004 concerts are pretty cool.

I volunteered at the Fringe Festival. Took in some good shows. I like theater. I think dance is cool but I mainly appreciate it from a visual point of view. I am often identifying cool compositions that would make great photographs.

I sometimes take in the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra and the odd Winnipeg Symphony performance. But I have not been very active with these recently. I have even been an extra in Verdi's Aida put on by Manitoba Opera. That was interesting. Lots of waiting around but I really enjoy watching the creative process. I made a handsome soldier.

I like to get lost in a good novel. And for the last while I have not done much of that. The book I just finished reading was What Doctors Feel. The current book is White Trash Zombie Apocalypse. A little lighter. ;)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music
A sense of humor (even if it is black sometimes)
Tea, I do love coffee though but cut back due to the caffeine.
My bicycle, treadmill in the winter a love hate thing.
The Internet
My tropical plants, at home and at work, they make my environment more liveable.
A good book(s)

(yeah I know that is seven, I don't like rules)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Mainly whatever I am doing at the time. But when I'm doing something that doesn't require concentration then I think of the people in my life. Sometimes me. How I can make me better.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
OK I didn't want to admit this but I am in a sharing mood right now. I know that this is pretty embarrassing. I hate to admit it publicly. I'm sure most guys would not admit to this. Maybe none here at all.

OK here it goes. I have two sewing machines. I know, I know. Shocking!

A Kenmore Ultra Stitch Six and a 10 Stitch. But sadly I have not used them yet. They did not come with the foot pedal so I have no speed control. I'm designing a special type but I'm not done. Just one more project that is waiting. But I hope to get back to it soon. I ended up picking up a foot pedal for a different model and I made an adapter for the power cable. I now am able to use these machines. I now have to learn how to sew.

What? You think I would say real private things here? Actually I said a number of things already that I consider to be pretty personal. But if you want to know more then we have to meet in person for that.

OK, alright, I will admit to this. Taylor Swift makes me cry. (I hear she does that to other people but not for the same reason)

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you are in Winnipeg and would be interested in getting together at some point.

While I have a set age range listed above I would consider an age outside of that. It really would depend on the person. But if you were a 30 year old I would be asking why ??? would you be interested in someone so far from your own age. This is about connections. And being of a similar age is one thing that helps in that.

If you only want to communicate online then please say more than just Hi. (yes I have had that) The more you say the more likely I would think we have something to talk about.
