My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am fun-loving and active. Have a good sense of humor and like quick wit and banter, but also can be serious. I am loyal, a good friend, compassionate and fair, but can be tough when needed. I am happy, genuine, and like myself. I try to follow the Golden Rule.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have been working as a Landscape Architect in the Puget Sound region for the last 30 years - I love my job and really don't think of it that way. In addition, I am lucky enough to have a great family and many close friends, so I spend time enjoying them. I also like to volunteer when I can on community projects or activities.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
SPORTS - am pretty good at tennis, less so in golf (but getting better - more good shots than bad now).

CONVERSATION - enjoy many topics - history, economics/stock market, sports, art, current events/politics, religion. You can always learn a lot in a good discussion or maybe think about something differently because of someone's differing point-of-view.

MY JOB - I do take it very seriously and strive to be sure the client is pleased and the design and implementation are of the highest quality. My job involves art, so I am pretty good in that category, particularly spatial relationships, graphics' and composition.

BEING A GOOD FRIEND/LISTENER - genuine, sincere, caring, taking time and making the effort to be a good friend. I like doing or making little surprises to brighten someone's day, to let them know they are loved or appreciated or needed, or just because...
The first things people usually notice about me

Wow, what do people first notice about me...I wish I knew....that could make some things easier, couldn't it?

I would have to say my eyes and smile, at least that is what I receive compliments about. Maybe that I'm fairly tall too.

After more than an initial impression, I think they'd notice that I have a good sense of humor and am fairly intelligent. From that, I'd hope that they'd have the impression that I am confident in myself.

People should notice that I try to include others in conversation or activity and am fairly engaging or friendly (per the situation)

I typically have a casual demeanor, but can be on my very best behavior too.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
BOOKS - crime/medical thrillers, Dan Brown, Michael Pearson, Ridley Pearson, James Patterson, Robin Cook, Michael Crieghton

MOVIES - action (STAR WARS, INDIANA JONES), romantic comedies (NOTTING HILL) and yes, I did like Dodgeball (a little embarrassing to admit)

MUSIC - songs from the 60's- 70's - probably the MOODY BLUES is my favorite group, but I like most songs from that era; also Frank Sinatra and some of today's music - just not rap, grunge, punk, or anything that advocates a felony!

FOOD - like most types of food - reasonably healthy is good. I like Seafood, Steak, Italian, Mexican, Most Salads the best.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Hmm - do they mean tangible items or intangible?

My family and friends are most important to me so of course they would be #1 on my list....and the love, caring and good feelings that are part of them.

The feeling of the person I have grown to become - I would not want to lose that - I like myself

The good reputation I have established in my business

A good feeling of being part of this world, following the Golden Rule, leaving this world a better place for something I've done while here and having a good spiritual relationship - the basis being Christianity.

OK, now for the material things....

my tennis racquet/golf clubs

...can't think of anything else I can't do without, so I'll leave one opening, just in case....
