My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've learned a little about a lot rather than a lot about a little.
I like hanging out inside and listening to the rain come down.
Taking a wrong turn intentionally in order to get somewhere I never planned to go sounds like fun.
I like to get in my car and just drive.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
These days I dispatch for the Puget Sound Blood Center. We do deliveries to area hospitals. This job has taught me that people love to make vampire jokes.

I'm also going back to school for networking certifications. It's something I've always thought about, but I've had enough thinking to last me quite a while.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love writing, but I'm more a fan of characters that have to fight and grow just to maintain the status quo. Protagonist is minding his or her own business, the world gets turned upside-down, suddenly they have to fight for what they have, and by the end things are just about back to normal.

I'm a good cook and I like to get creative in the kitchen on occasion. Not an everyday thing of course, that'd get old and expensive pretty quick, but from time to time I'll go all out. If restaurants provided reasonable pay, health insurance, and benefits, that's probably where I'd be right now.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm bald. I like to think that my hair migrated south and decided it liked it too much to move back.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: All of the books. I'll read anything that hooks me in the first hundred pages unless it actively turns me off before then, and I'll give it more than 100 if it comes with a strong recommendation. When left to my own devices I tend to gravitate to sci-fi and fantasy, specifically urban fantasy, and I have a (not-so) secret love of YA. Right now I'm reading The Mortal Instruments. The best book I've read lately was The Deed of Paksenarrion by Elizabeth Moon. I recommend it.

Movies: Star Wars, Star Trek (old and new), again mostly sci-fi and fantasy. I like comedy, I like action, I like some drama. I can and will watch rom-coms if called upon to do so. I am not a huge fan of horror but I'll watch it. Altogether pretty flexible.

Shows: Been watching Farscape, Clone Wars, and Top Gear (UK) lately, not because I'm a huge car buff but because I tend to like their humor. Continuum took a season to find its legs but now it's pretty great. I like Community, Sons of Anarchy, Cutthroat Kitchen and other cooking competitions.

Music: Mostly rock music with some stretching into electronica and hip hop. Coheed and Cambria is the best band ever. I'm only slightly embarrassed to admit that I enjoy a lot of Top 40s hits these days.

Food: I see Thai mentioned a lot around here, so I guess that's a thing. I know a great place. Pho is good. I like a good burger from time to time, and I enjoy pizza but really, who doesn't? Breakfast for dinner is one of my favorite things, as are leftovers for breakfast.

I also dig board games. Let's play.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A working kitchen. Even something as simple as a pot hanging over a campfire will do in a pinch. I've been told my campfire bread is amazing.

Pen and paper. Can't have one without the other.

Music.

Books. Books forever.

Humor.

Grilled cheese sandwiches. I've tried. Can't do it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whatever story I'm working on lately. My thoughts can get away from me, so giving my brain something to chew on is very helpful.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
My typical Friday night ranges from spending time with friends playing board games to going out to the bar to staying in watching shows on Netflix. The last tends to be reserved for stressful weeks.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't fully understand why people don't like Michael Bay movies. Sometimes a movie doesn't have to be deep to be fun.

Don't you judge me.

You know where to find the best breakfast in the city. I have my own opinions on this, but I like new experiences and revisiting old favorites equally well.

You have a terrible joke you want to share with me. I mean "so unfunny it's hilarious" terrible, not racist or otherwise hateful.
