My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've learned a little about a lot rather than a lot about a little. That's just how I like it.

I like hanging out inside and listening to the rain come down. I dream while awake yet somehow manage to keep on top of my work, school, and personal life. I like to keep busy for the sole purpose of increasing the value of my time off.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
These days I dispatch for the Puget Sound Blood Center. I'm the guy the hospitals call when they need blood. I like helping people out, even if hardly anybody knows we exist. This job has taught me that people love to make vampire jokes.

I'm also going back to school for networking certifications. I've worked with computers since I was little, and networks and the Internet just fascinate me.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love writing and tend toward stories where the characters fight and grow in order to keep what they have. Protagonist is minding his or her own business, the world gets turned upside-down, and by the end things are just about back to normal.

I'm a good cook and I like to get creative in the kitchen on occasion. My latest experiment was mixing pork in red wine reduction with blue cheese and lettuce and throwing it in a taco shell. French tacos. They were absolutely delicious. That was the first time I've done anything "fusion" in the kitchen and might be the last, but at least the result was great. It's not an everyday thing of course, that'd get old and expensive pretty quick, but from time to time I'll go all out.

I can make a grilled cheese sandwich that'll knock your socks off.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm bald. I like to think that my hair migrated south and decided it liked it too much to move back.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I'll read anything that hooks me in the first hundred pages unless it actively turns me off before then, and I'll give it more than that if it comes with a strong recommendation. When left to my own devices I tend to gravitate to sci-fi and fantasy, specifically urban fantasy, and I have a (not-so) secret love of YA. Right now I'm not reading anything and that is unacceptable. Have recommendations? The best book I've read lately was The Deed of Paksenarrion by Elizabeth Moon. I recommend it.

Movies: Star Wars, Star Trek (old and new), again mostly sci-fi and fantasy. I like comedy, I like action, I like some drama. I can and will watch rom-coms if called upon to do so. I am not a huge fan of horror but I'll watch it. Altogether pretty flexible.

Shows: I am looking for new shows. Continuum took a season to find its legs but now it's pretty great. I like Community, Sons of Anarchy, Cutthroat Kitchen and other cooking competitions.

Music: Mostly rock music with some stretching into electronica and hip hop. Coheed and Cambria is the best band ever. I'm only slightly embarrassed to admit that I enjoy a lot of Top 40s hits these days.

Food: Thai food is one of my favorite things right now. I know a great place. Pho is good. I like a good burger from time to time, and I enjoy pizza but really, who doesn't? Breakfast for dinner is awesome, as are leftovers for breakfast.

I also dig board games.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A working kitchen. Even something as simple as a pot hanging over a campfire will do in a pinch. I've been told my campfire bread is amazing.

Pen and paper. Can't have one without the other.

Books. My bookshelf isn't actually big enough, so I have several boxes full of books as well (the one full of my roleplaying books is marked "roleplaying" and my friends were more than a little hesitant to touch it when they helped me move, heh).

My cat Eli. He has kept me company through some rough times. I love the little man.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
School and what I'm going to do next.

How I can improve my knowledge and understanding of the world and people around me.

What am I going to have for dinner?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
My typical Friday night ranges from spending time with friends playing board games to going out barhopping to staying in watching shows on Netflix. The last tends to be reserved for stressful weeks.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't fully understand why people don't like Michael Bay movies. Sometimes a movie doesn't have to be deep to be fun.

Don't you judge me.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have book recommendations. Any genre.

You have a terrible joke you want to share with me. I mean "so unfunny it's hilarious" terrible, not racist or otherwise hateful.

You like going for walks too.

Okay, so I've got this theory that Match % means less than Enemy %. So if we have a low Enemy % and you want to hang out and get coffee that'd be pretty cool.

Also if you happen to have a very high Enemy %, I've always kinda wanted an arch-nemesis. I'll take other applicants for the position but I'm pretty sure high Enemy % would work best.
