My self-summary
This section is always the hardest, isn't it.

I guess I am a bit of a dilettante. I always have some new thing to be doing or trying to learn. Always a instrument I'd like to learn to play (guitar), a project I need to put together (longboard), some strange skill I'm working on acquiring (handstands).

I enjoy camping, hiking, canoing -- all kinds of outdoor things, even though I can't go very often. Recently I learned to skydive and when I was younger I learned to hang glide. I fully intend on picking both of these back up in the future. On that note, I suppose I am what some call an adrenaline junky. I just think I take calculated risks, the same as when other people get into a car.

I manage to find plenty of time for the internet, although I try to keep my soul from sucking out of my eyes.

I'd definitely rather be relaxing in the woods somewhere or cruising on a longboard than at a party, but almost all things are alright in moderation.
What I’m doing with my life
Finding new ways to enjoy the moments between the things we look forward to.
I’m really good at
Producing semi-relevant facts from the ether. But also, forgetting things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm tall? And know plenty of pointless Jeopardy facts.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Hmm. The Count of Monte Christo has to be my favorite book, but I really enjoyed Sidhartha as well. Sci Fi, epics, classics. I try to switch between dense literature and fun, fast reads.

Movies. Well, thats a little more difficult because I love watching all the classics. Pretty much any movie with Steve McQueen. Oh, and The Iron Giant. Old westerns.

I listen to all kinds of music, I can't possible list a favorite. I like classical, electronic, rock, metal, hip-hop, bluegrass, jazz, blues, folk, ambient, I can't think of more genres, and reggae.
Never get tired of Led Zeppelin.

More than any one favorite, I like finding new things to broaden my horizon. A foreign film style, a writer with unique voice, or a new style of music are usually more interesting to me than the old standbys.

Food though? Mac n Cheese. Hands down. I love all kinds of food as well, and trying new foods. But what would life be without mac n cheese?
The six things I could never do without
Air(to fly in), water(to swim in), food, adrenaline, new experiences, and the full faculties of my mind.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How the air moves. How things work. How to conjugate a past tense verb is Spanish. How to make a variable pitch quadrotor (nerd). How to live well without having to work. Whether other people see what I call green the same way that I see it (turns out, the answer is no!). Why people make the decisions they do.

Whatever comes to mind.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably not partying. Driving, swimming, relaxing on the porch, reading, sleeping, watching a movie, planning some far more exciting thing for the next morning. Or some combination of several and more.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a piercing and a tattoo that most people will never see.
