Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
This section is always the hardest, isn't it.
I guess I am a bit of a dilettante. I always have some new thing to
be doing or trying to learn. Always a instrument I'd like to learn
to play better (guitar), a project I need to put together
(longboard, ADS-B reciever), some strange skill I'm working on
acquiring (handstands, Spencarian script cursive).
I enjoy camping, hiking, canoeing -- all kinds of outdoor things,
even though I can't go very often. I learned to skydive in college
and when I was younger I learned to hang glide. Paragliding is next
on the list. On that note, I suppose I am what some call an
adrenaline junky. I like to think of them as calculated risks; the
injury rates for skiers are much higher than for skydivers.
I'd definitely rather be relaxing in the woods somewhere than at a
part, but being the wallflower who can start a fire at a winter
party has its benefits.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Finding new ways to enjoy the moments between the things we look
Getting used to living in a real city.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Producing semi-relevant facts from the ether. But also, forgetting

I'm tall? And know plenty of pointless Jeopardy facts.

Hmm. The Count of Monte Christo. Sidhartha. Sci Fi, epics,
classics. I try to switch between dense literature and fun, fast
reads. Lately textbooks on cluster computing, stochastic calculus
(still a neophyte...), and finance.
Movies. Well, that's a little more difficult. Pretty much any movie
with Steve McQueen. Oh, and The Iron Giant. Old westerns.
I listen to all kinds of music, I can't possible list a favorite. I
like classical, electronic, rock, metal, hip-hop, bluegrass, jazz,
blues, folk, ambient, I can't think of more genres, and
Never get tired of Led Zeppelin. Lots of club jazz and progressive
More than any one favorite, I like finding new things to broaden my
horizon. A foreign film, a writer with unique voice, or a new style
of music are usually more interesting to me than what's popular
Food though? Mac n Cheese. Hands down. I love all kinds of food as
well, and trying new foods. But what would life be without mac n
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Air(to fly in), water(to swim in), a motorcycle, self improvement,
new experiences, and the full faculties of my mind.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How the air moves. How things work. How to conjugate a past tense
verb is Spanish. Whether other people see what I call green the
same way that I see it (turns out, the answer is no!). Why people
make the decisions they do. The logistics and politics of improving
public transportation. How soon I could live on a sailboat or with
a grass runway.
Whatever comes to mind.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably not partying. Driving, swimming, relaxing on the porch
(don't have a porch anymore...), reading, sleeping, watching a
movie, planning some far more exciting thing for the next morning.
Or some combination of several and more.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a piercing and a tattoo that most people will never see.
