Just trying to figure life out one day at a time. I'm a college graduate, but I went to college not knowing what I wanted to do with it. While en excellent growing experience, I'm finding that what I want to do with my life has little directly to do with my anthropology major. However, I still love learning about history and different cultures, and just the human condition as a whole. As for interests, I am a geek, straight up. As in "I play Dungeons and Dragons" I Am A Geek. Movies, video games, fantasy novels, the works. I go to the renaissance faire regularly, at least twice a year, and even dress up for it. I've taken it to the degree that I have devoted a good chunk of my life to learning historical swordsmanship, old knightly two-handed-sword combat, and I teach it as well.

PS - I should note, if it makes any difference to people, on the side, where it says "Smoking, occasionally," because it doesn't allow for more specifics - I am only a pipe-smoker, and even then, on average, once only every 2-3 weeks - I used to smoke cigarettes regularly, and others smoking usually doesn't bother me, but I have no desire to go back to the old addiction again.

I've been working at a restaurant for a few years now, all the while exploring other options - primarily financial planning assistant, children's case-worker and mentor. Neither worked out, for various reasons, but were opportunities to grow and learn my limits. Right now, I'm helping a friend build a business, and if it plans out, I'll have my true dream-job - coaching historical fencing!

Long hair and loud? Seriously, the loudness is more than anything to cover up my own insecurities, and I'm working on that....

Books - Memmory, Sorrow, and Thorn series by Tad Williams
Movies - The Prestige, Lord of the Rings, Boondock Saints, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Winds, Serenity. and probobly more than I can think of right now.
Music - Mostly European "epic" metal, like Blind Guardian and Nightwish
Food - Italian, Sushi, Thai, Indian, and most anything including meat.

Politics, culture and society, he business I'm helping to build, what am I going to teach in the next class, and just being lost in my own world sometimes.....

Teaching 14th century German longsword. I know, bad timing for a job, but I love it.

You don't mind someone whose a tad eccentric, passionate about the things he's interested in, and willing to share those passions. If you have a warped sense of humor, have passions of your own to share, and believe in loving life.
