My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A Canadian transplant to SF, by way of Chicago. I moved here for a tech job, just like you all.

In Chicago, I did a PhD in neuroscience(ish), worked at a UX consulting firm for a few years, made a zillion friends who I'm really sad to leave, and ate a fuckton of hot dogs.

I like to travel. A lot. My favorite trip was to Iceland and Greenland in 2008. I went alone for a month and ended up spending literally all of my money, so I spent my last a few days in a tent in the woods, spitting distance from a glacier. I spent my last $5 (yes, $5) on a can of Coke. I was really thirsty.

I recently got a TV and hooked up my Super Nintendo. My life is really good now.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Enjoying a good book. Earning airmiles. Deadlifting. Fending off bears. Playing my guitar (poorly) and banjo (very poorly). Slow-cooking. Slow-dancing. Being low-maintenance. Science. Making mix CDs. Ordering the girliest drink. Spinning (on a bike, and also just, like, around). Saving my quarters for laundry. Paying more for a studio apartment in SF than an entire 3br in Chicago. Listening to the same 5 songs on repeat while making a 100-slide PowerPoint presentation. Traveling (27 countries so far...just got back from Japan and Korea a few weeks ago).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Remembering things. Cooking. Not giving up. Research & design. Paying attention to social cues. Analyzing data. Not sweating it. Nintendo. Making people feel special. Strategy games. Alphabetizing. Getting cozy. Axure. Baking without really measuring. Making this sauce I make sometimes. Navigating all forms of Chicago (and to some extent, SF) public transit. Getting out of the shower without having my wet feet come in direct contact with the floor. Playing hook-on-a-string with my cat. Hugging. Kissing.

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I will never ever ever come close to reading even 1% of all the good books there are in the world.

How first kisses are great.

How much I love the people that I love.

I will die if I don't hear that song RIGHT NOW.

Should I put avocado on that? Yeah I should put avocado on that.

On a typical Friday night I am

Wide-eyed then droopy-eyed then tacos.
