My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name is Jodie, but I've played Roller Derby under many pseudonyms. Circumstances coming into play as they have, I'm also currently training as a mixed martial artist, harbor tenacious aspirations to make it as a novelist or break into the comic industry as a colorist, and generally speaking am not quite as in touch with reality as a proper lady ought to be.
The more down-to-earth synopsis would state that I majored in digital art, worked as a portrait photographer for three years, and now utilize the skillz acquired to take catalog shots of Victorian dolls that are almost as expensive as they are creepy.
Also comes the standard baggage; new to the area, looking for friends and adventures! Turn the right corner in Sin City/Waterville and you can find anything … anything.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I suppose an analyst would say I spend WAY too much time roller skating and willingly getting punched in the head … fortunately for me analytical psychiatry does not currently factor into my budget.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Acting with rash impulsiveness. Remembering arbitrary quotations from random cartoons. Madness and mayhem in the guise of art.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Physically it's probably the hair and eyes. Both are typically very large and messy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Likes include Kurt Vonnegut, low budget horror and science fiction of yesteryear, Vertigo Comics, roller derby, and highly addictive RPGs. Dislikes include Ayn Rand, whiny vampires, and matte finishes (keep it shiny, baby).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A blank canvas to let my head explode on (metaphorically speaking)
the latest version of Photoshop to fall off the truck
grunge music
Franks's Red Hot
my hero complex
my skates
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Already knowing that the ultimate answer to the meaning of life the universe and everything is 42, I spend more time pondering what the ultimate question actually is. Then I get bored and start thinking about zombie slaying.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Slaying zombies.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
At times I recite the Bene Gesserit litany against fear to deal with anxiety.
