My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I moved to Wilmington in the Summer of 2004 because my job decided I needed to set up shop in a beach town. It's been a nice place to live and a far cry from NY, where I spent my first 18 years.

When I'm not working, I have a very mixed bag of interests that fill my time. I play baseball and softball a lot during the warm weather months and also enjoy golf, tennis, biking, and disc golf, but baseball is definitely my preferred outdoor activity.

I don't drink for fun, but I'm no square. I don't really like the bar/club scene on any kind of regular basis, but do enjoy having a few drinks at Blue Post or Goodfellas from time to time.

If the weather isn't conducive to being outdoors, I enjoy tv, movies, bowling, and video games (yeah, I have a pretty heavy nerd side). I started writing game reviews for a website about a year ago and it feels good to be able to have a kind of creative outlet that others can see. It also feels pretty badass to have things I've written published.

When I hurt my shoulder in 2006, I took up poker as a weeknight activity in a free league here in town and I fell in love with it. I take a few yearly trips to Cherokee and Las Vegas to play in tournaments and have enjoyed some moderate success, including a WSOP cash in 2011. Maybe you'll see me on ESPN vying for millions one year! (I hope)

I love all kinds of music from Rock to Rap, but really don't enjoy country or the super gangsta rap. That said, if I were to list all the artists I'm into, you'd be reading for a while and while I don't watch a ton of TV, when it's not the baseball season, a few of my favorites are The Walking Dead, Mythbusters, Family Guy, South Park, The League, just to name a few. For movies, I love sci-fi and adventure type stuff. I'm a big Star Wars (4-6) fan and came to really appreciate Star Trek a few years ago. Firefly is one of my all time favorites. (Don't worry, I may be into sci-fi, but I don't live in mom's basement)

When it comes to women, intelligence, responsibility, sense of humor, being family oriented, and self-sufficiency are huge for me. I am looking for a woman to compliment me, not complete me. I would be perfectly fine if I had to be on my own (aside from getting a bit lonely at times) and my ideal match would be the same. I don't want to fill a void in someone's life, but I would like to be able to say I'm adding to it in a positive way. You have to be able to love yourself before you can love someone else.

I'm overweight. Just gonna come right out and say it. It's been something I've struggled with my whole life, but am taking steps toward changing that. I work out 3-5 days a week and try to watch my calorie intake, but won't turn down a cheeseburger.

A nice smile is a big plus for me. I can't say I have one ideal body type above all others but as long as someone is relatively height/weight proportionate, it's all good. Physical attraction is enhanced when you come to really get to know and love someone's personality. You don't have to be a Playboy model to be considered pretty or sexy. There is definitely not one single set of traits that makes someone attractive, it's in the eye of the beholder, so they say.

While not religious, I was raised with a good set of morals and know how to treat people. Being a good person is infinitely more important than where you spend your Sunday mornings.

To be a good match with me, you have to have a sense of humor and not take yourself too seriously. I like to laugh and witty banter along with randomly quoting lines from funny movies will score you some points.

Getting along with my family and friends is also super important, but don't worry, it's not that hard to do. I live with my cousin and we constantly crack offensive jokes at each other. If you're uptight and/or easily offended, we may not get along so well.

There's a lot more to me than what you see in this profile, so if anything you've read intrigues you, please say hello. Let's have a chat, grab some coffee, and see what happens.

Thanks for reading!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work full time for a great company that is doing well (which in this economy, is huge) and although work in a call center is not the number 1 thing on my dream job list, I can't complain. I have a pretty good gig and make pretty good money for a guy my age.

Aside from that, trying to enjoy myself outside of work and spend as much time as possible doing things I love. Life is short, so I want to enjoy it.

The hope is to eventually have someone to share it with.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Observing my surroundings and planning escape routes as well as deciding what items could be used as improvised melee weapons. (Great in the event of the aforementioned zombie apocalypse)

Reading people. Don't be nervous though, it's really just prevalent at the poker table. I can't read minds or anything.

Beating Super Mario Bros 3 WITHOUT the warp whistles, even though I always collect them anyway.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I smile a lot and have a good teeth, so they don't usually run away screaming.

I usually have some kind of Atlanta Braves paraphernalia on. I'm a die-hard fan.

Pretty much anything but gangsta rap and country.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1 - Family
2 - Baseball - (I'm really glad I was forced to start playing in my youth) It's become one of my life's greatest passions.
3 - Cell phone
4 - My car
5 - Mom's cookin'
6 - Cheeseburgers - Ok, so I probably COULD live without them, but what kind of hell would that be?!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How short life is and how much shorter it will be when the zombie apocalypse actually happens.

I have been contemplating my plan for such an event for years.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Me... who else would I be on Friday?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Ketchup is by far my condiment of choice. I put chips on sandwiches and fries on my burgers.

When I was a kid I used to eat turkey & PB sandwiches. (Don't knock it til you try it!!)

That should be enough to either intrigue you or gross you out. Hopefully the former.

I secretly wish I was a good dancer and would love to do one of those huge choreographed dance routines with a group, preferably on one of those disco-type dance floors with the colored square lights on it.
