My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello, just got back from prison and figured I'd give this another shot. (Nahh... but I got your attention!) I've worked for myself for several years now. Took a detour on the road to a high falutin' career. I didn't like where it was going. So I decided to forge my own path instead. I'm a firm believer in trying. I love bringing an idea or dream to life. And I'll be committed to it. If it doesn't work, on to the next. When it does work, it's another skill in my arsenal. I refuse to let things become mundane. Yet no matter how flighty I may seem on paper, my heart is grounded. And with that comes an honest, rational, flexible attitude. For fun, adventure is abundant and interests are plenty. And I'll always be playful, light-hearted and whimsically unpredictable-- but these days I focus less on frivolousness, more on achieving balance. It has become increasingly clear the sort of balance I seek involves the right woman in my life.

There are many adjectives and attributes to describe the type of woman that attracts me-- her elixir of traits creates our chemistry. She's engaging-- loves stories and will banter back and forth with me about anything. She doesn't always have to agree with me but she'll talk it out. She's a goofball-- doesn't take everything so seriously. She's versatile-- loves activity and travel but can veg out and "just be". She's a spitfire-- playfully teasing me when I rightfully deserve it, in a cute way. She's vivacious-- sweet but snarky and a genuine pain in the rear sometimes. She's refined with a touch of crudeness. She's gentle-- considerate and polite to those around her. She's funny-- or least she finds me funny. She's appreciates brilliance and sheer ridiculousness, each in their own right. She's empathetic--able to see matters from different angles. She's generous-- with her heart. She's unassuming, doesn't have time for nonsense, and is confident in my ability to provide everything she needs in a man-- she'll let me love her. She reflects the different facets of herself, and I love every one of them, even the not so dazzling ones. She appreciates romance even in the smallest of gestures. And... It's just in her smile, the way her eyes light up… I can't explain exactly what it is about her...

I just get so excited to see her each time more than the last. It's when we get to really know each other when the real attraction begins. I enjoy her laugh, her wit, her outlook, her heart for God and people, and our vibe together. Each encounter I anticipate positive things will happen, another step towards something special and lasting. Eventually, I can't help but to be totally in love with her... the kind of insatiable love that changes my priorities, when it's not just about me anymore. I'll never "lose myself" in her but I admire her, keeping me at my best. Loving her isn't complicated. She instills in me a desire to please her. And simply by appreciating me and my efforts, likewise, she fulfills my needs. My happiness is in God's hands, but she makes life better. She makes my spirit thrive and adds a softer side to my sometimes brazen nature.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I help farmers harvest/distribute local organic wheat, make greeting card/fable poem/kids' books treasure candles and sell them at craft shows and stores (Hallmark will buy me out... you watch!) and trade currency (forex) for a living.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Well, apparently, after re-reading my profile... looking like a big fruitcake! I'm also pretty handy-- if it breaks, I can probably fix it. I'm like Sling Blade... mmm hmm... love them french fried taters!

Books- The Bible (the "English" version so I can actually read it.)
And Anne Mcaffrey's Dragon series of books.

Movies- Braveheart, Last of the Mohicans, Airplane!, Legend, Sixteen Candles + similar 80's movies, Kill Bills, Superbad, Monty Python/Holy Grail, The Last Unicorn, Rocky IV, Billie Jack, etc... too many to mention.

Shows- Comedies like The Soup, Key & Peele, Workaholics, Impractical Jokers, Big Bang Theory. Reality shows like Shark Tank, Dating Naked, Gold Rush, Bering Sea Gold.

Music-- Here's a link for a special OKCupid remix I threw together, "Strangers". I really hope you find this sort of music at least a LITTLE cool, the context seems appropriate.

Worked at a big music studio in L.A. for quite a while... but times change. Above and Beyond is probably my favorite electronic label. Love 90's alternative. Muse is my favorite year 2000+ rock band. Of course, classic rock like Led Zep and Pink Floyd too. Love Enya and Celtic (i.e. Riverdance) music. Also into oldies like Patti Page, Patsy Cline, Louie Armstrong. I like "girly" music like Sara McLachlan (remixes are more fun though) and Sade. And songs like "Time to Say Goodbye" and "Lady in Red" stop me dead in my tracks, like that Seinfeld episode (In case you forgot, "Desperado" was the song.). Seriously, the list is too long to keep going.

Food- Anything

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.

Unfortunately, slapping a wig on him just isn't cutting it.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Listening to "Baby Don't Hurt Me, Don't Hurt Me, No More" and bobbing my head to the side.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I sing songs to my cat when feeding him. For example, if I'm giving him cod, sole & shrimp, I sing him the chorus to "We Want the Funk" but replace the lyrics with "Cod, Sole & Shrimp"... so dumb. :P
