Fat. Bald. Eclectic. Kinky. I have made peace with the fact that I am an opinionated introvert and tend to keep most social interactions to a minimum. To those who don't get me, I am taciturn. Those who do get me see the humour with which I try to weave my life.

I am learning... always. I am a man of voracious appetite when it comes to knowledge and wisdom.

After a long break, I am bringing myself back to writing as well.

I have classical training as a chef, but I am far more comfortable doing barbeque. I'm good at my job, I am told, but I suspect that is because my job is to basically be myself.
I would like to think that I am a good friend, and I aspire to be a wise man someday.

I am a big guy, and I am as bald as it gets. One may be tempted to simply dismiss me as 'fat'- but pushing me will show that indeed, doing so was a mistake.

After getting to know me, most people appreciate that I tend to be astute in observation and in listening.

My tastes are eclectic. If you want to know if I like something, ask me.
I will offer that if you think Ayn Rand to be either a good writer or a profound thinker, that the chances are I will end up treating you like a chew toy.

Still, it strikes me that lists of favorites are focused upon where one has been... and this is more about where one is going.

1) Coffee Press- Hang around me enough in the morning, and you will sooner or later hear "Death before dishonor, NOTHING before coffee". I am not kidding about this.
2) Computer- My computer and the internet are primary sources for my information/news gathering.
3) Music collection- I don't listen to it everyday, but I couldn't stand the idea of not having this wildly varied collection.
4) Library- My library used to be much larger, though it has been by mishap and misfortune winnowed down.
5) My friends- My friends are my family, and they are an incredible group of people.
6) Curiosity- I continually seek to learn and grow.

I just spend a lot of time thinking.

probably doing something different than I did on the previous Friday night.

The private things about me stay private till we know each other better.
