Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Let's see, let's see, where to begin?
I moved to Nashville from Boston back in 2011, not for any real
reason in particular but just to sort of see where the wind might
take me. My go to response for answering the question of why I
moved here is to say "oh you know, to play music" but honestly that
has taken a back seat in recent years. I'm at the point in my life
where my rose colored glasses are starting to crack and I'm trying
to be more realistic about my expectations out of life. Don't get
me wrong, writing and playing music are still my biggest passions
in life, I just feel like it's important to ground myself and
establish a firm foundation before I start bouncing around in the
proverbial stratosphere. I recently started a new career with the
American Red Cross and hope to go far with them while being able to
pursue creative outlets and have some adventures on the side. Blah
blah blah, I just made myself sound really boring, which you can
rest assured I am not! NO WAY. I tend to think waaaay outside the
box. Sometimes I can't even see the box! Sometimes people are like
"Dan, get your ass back in the box!" and I'm all "Psh, what box?"
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to act like an adult and careering it up over at the Red
Cross. Learning as much as I can about how the world works and
where we as humans fit into it. Looking for a "partner in crime"
(uggghhh I can't stand that phrase but I guess it'll work for now.
Think of a better one for me! Great, thanks!)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Ugh, is anybody actually comfortable with this section? I mean who
can just sit there and think of things they're good at? I know I'm
pretty good at music, I write, play bass and guitar, sing, record,
all that junk. Oh I'm also hilarious. You'll see. If all else fails
I'm just going to fall back on making people laugh and hope
somebody starts paying me for it at some point.

I tend to go through phases where I only listen to one artist at a
time and completely wear myself out on them. Currently that poor
bloke is Damon Albarn, and I fear his time is running out. If
you're a blur/gorillaz/albarn fan at all, SAY HI! THERE ARE SO FEW
Prior to my Albarn kick:
MGMT, Mew, Tool, Ted Leo, Beach Boys, Beatles, Jamiroquai, Flaming
Lips, Father John Misty, and many many more...
I love It's Always Sunny and Seinfeld, and few other shows in
between. Breaking Bad was great, but that's about as far as I go
with TV shows. I do love a good movie though. I have an affinity
for terrible/cheesy horror movies (and good ones too!).
The Evil Dead trilogy is near the top.
Pretty much all John Carpenter (except Prince of Darkness. What the
hell was he thinking?)
I love reading books about science, mainly physics and astronomy.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Food, mmmmm food. Sushi, mostly.
My car. Seriously, I had to take the bus for a while and it was
just god awful.
That's 6, right?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
All the things. Just... all the things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
There is no typical Friday night. I don't really do a lot of things
that most people would consider typical anyway, so you'll just have
to talk to me to find out. Sometimes I do karaoke, that's pretty
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
