I'm some guy. I study geology at university (which is great because it makes me sound smart), I work enough so i can enjoy life while i study and not have to worry about whether my bills get paid. I enjoy anything from sitting with a good book, to seeing a movie, to looking at some interesting rocks, to seeing a live band play, to having a few drinks, to debating something philosophical and pointless, to kicking a ball around, to riding my motorbike wherever the roads take me, to trekking through the wilderness for 3 days and drinking moonshine in tribal villages in Thailand, or drinking wine and eating cheese in the south of France. And I can juggle. Impressive, no? So step right up and get your tickets. Or just message me to abuse me, because that could be amusing.

And i've been told my hair feels like the soft underbelly of a goat. I'm not sure if I should be more disturbed by that simple fact, or that I know someone who knows what the underbelly of a goat feels like.

I've been described (mainly by myself) as multi-semi-talented. I can do a number of things that most people cant do, but I cant do any of them to a remarkable standard. I can play a musical instrument (but i'm passable, not proficient), I can juggle (but I'm not in the running for cirque di soliel), I can actually make sense of an excel spreadsheet (but i'm not computer literate enough to be a geek in the useful sense), I can also cook (I know most people can, but it seems a growing number of people just have no clue what-so-ever), and I have a basic grasp of the English language and am able to spell and use grammar to a reasonable level. etc

I love books, try to read as much as possible from various genres, but my not-so-secret shame is that i'm a sucker for fantasy, horror, and really weird shite. Raymond E Fiest, Douglas Adams, Stephen King, Robert Jordan, Clive Barker. Also the Harry Potter series.

If i'm feeling particularly geeky i may also browse through something sciencey too. Stephen Hawkings, Richard Dawkins, Dr. Karl, et al. Sadly these days i tend to read more about tectonic regimes and sequence stratigraphy in sedimentary basins.

Movies

Kill Bill, Amelie, the Usual Suspects, Indiana Jones Triology, Trainspotting, Pirates of the Carribean, X-Men, City of Lost Children, Lord of the Rings, Pulp Fiction, Spirited Away, Howls Moving Castle, Seven, Shawshank Redemption, Monty Python's Holy Grail and Life of Brian, 28 Days Later, 12 Monkeys, crouching tiger hidden dragon, hero, Fight Club, Sin City, Star Wars, Shaun of the Dead :D. Also I cant stress enough how much i was bored shitless by Napolean Dynamite. I found it ponderous and boring, humourless and stupid, and generally completely missing the mark whislt simultaneously trying to hard: Ie I HATE THAT MOVIE!
