My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm introverted, I'm into science, I like to read, I like computer and video games – so, yes, I'm a nerd.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
When I'm not nerding around, I'm trying to teach students how not to kill themselves or others in a chemistry lab. Successfully, so far.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...remembering useless pieces of information.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Phew... I'm trying to keep this short – but it won't be easy...

Books: anything from Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, William Gibson, H.P. Lovecraft, Walter Moers and J.R.R. Tolkien, most things from Arthur C. Clarke and Stephen King. In addition, some Stanislaw Lem, the Strugatzki brothers and George R.R. Martin.

Graphic Novels/Comics: Preacher, Akira, most Alan Moore stuff (first and foremost Watchmen and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen), Battle Angel Alita (but only the original series), Hellboy, the better Batman books (The Dark Knight Returns, Year One, The Long Halloween, The Killing Joke), 2001 Nights, Spirit of Wonder, franco-belgian classics like Tintin or (the early) Asterix.

Movies: too many to be concise. Anything from intelligent blockbuster movies to indie films. Interstellar, (500) Days of Summer, Guardians of the Galaxy and God Bless America were among the better films I saw in the more recent time.

Music: Nine Inch Nails, Therapy?, Die Krupps, P.J. Harvey, Queens of the Stone Age, Sneaker Pimps, Rabbit Junk, Tool, Type O Negative, Portishead and some more well orchestrated noise where electric guitars and electronics meet.

Shows: Game of Thrones, House of Cards, Breaking Bad, Firefly, Star Trek (mainly TNG), Futurama, The Simpsons, Adventure Time, My Name is Earl, Community, Arrested Development.

Games: mainly strategy and role-playing games (e.g. Dragon Age: Origins, Shadowrun, Civilization, Total War), and smarter action games like the Bioshock and Borderlands series, Deus Ex and Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Portal 1 & 2, and the Batman Arkham games. From time to time Unreal Tournament '99 and 2004.

Food: Italian, Chinese, Japanese
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. something to read
2. music
3. solitude
4. chocolate
5. sex
6. ...er... the number six?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
...various things, like how to become Batman.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
...usually going to the gym and then spent the rest of the evening either playing games or watching some of my shows.
