My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I read science news in my down time, make origami monsters compulsively, and am one of those people you see every now and then, laughing out loud while walking alone.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Former mathematician. I quit my academic post at NYU to start a software company. After a few years of living on coffee and sleeping on the office couch we had a successful product and a whole lot of burn out. Right now I'm "taking a vacation/sabbatical" by working a job with sane hours (quant at the SEC), but once I pay back my sleep debt I'll probably jump back into the fire.

Other than that I spend my time climbing big rocks, looking for and hanging out with awesome and ambitious people, and eating ridiculously overpriced grassfed beef. (I like happy cows. In my belly)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding contradictions.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have full lips and long eyelashes, but otherwise wouldn't make for a very attractive girl.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

[Authors] Stephen Baxter, Charles Stross, Vernor Vinge.

Thus Spoke Zarathustra was like my bible growing up.

I almost cried at the end of Cowboy Beebop.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
wikipedia, progress, cows, introspection, overconfidence in stupid things, precision apathy
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
why I think about the things I think about. It's turtles all the way down.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a techno-optimist Singularitarian-pessimist. Strong AI will probably turn us all into computronium, and that makes me a little sad.

You speak Portuguese, because it's sexy, or if you don't, because English is pretty awesome too.
