My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm me... and there are very few like me. I'm generally a good person. I have a decent job. I love to be outdoors hiking and camping. However, I also love being indoors on a couch, watching a movie or playing a game. I travel a lot, both for work and for fun. I've driven the same car since I was 16, which I've been told that says something about me. What that means, I'm not sure.

All in all, I think I'm a pretty good guy.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am living my life, with all the adventure that comes with it! My friends tend to say that I'm lucky, due to the circumstances that I find myself in. However, my feeling is that I like the universe and, in return, the universe likes me.

All in all, I think I've got this life thing handled at the moment. Of course, life wouldn't be exciting if that didn't change from time to time.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love to cook, as eating is also something I'm remarkably good at. However, the best thing I'm good at is making beer. Brewing is one of my favorite hobbies. I do believe it is the only hobby in the world that, in the end, you have beer.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The first thing people notice when they see me is my height. People think I'm tall, but always argue with me about how tall I am. Not sure what to make of that...

After that, they notice my energy and my excitement, especially if I'm talking about something I'm interested in.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Food: All. I love food. I will eat anything once, but I never promise to eat it more than that.

Movies & Shows: I watch the Daily Show most nights; still a fan of the Simpsons; I'm a bit of a geek, so any superhero, animated, or sci-fi thing I'm usually into. Also, anything by Wes Anderson or the Coen Brothers is always worth a watch.

Music: All types of music have some redeeming value; I'm not really a music snob. Bands I like include Gorillaz, Cake, White Stripes, Daft Punk, Kathleen Turner Overdrive, and the Soggy Bottom Boys.

Books: I read a lot. Mostly Sci Fi, but classics as well. Just finished a bit of a Mark Twain run. Now I'm reading the Culture series from Ian Banks.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My cast iron pan; my bicycle; food; oxygen; shelter; and, to be perfectly honest, games of some sort (board games, video games; card games).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I am always thinking about how things work. Mostly, due to my job, I'm thinking about games, game mechanics, and how people play games. But I never leave it there. I believe the more you understand something, the better you can understand the people who like that thing. Be it as simple as a game or as complicated as a religion, understanding the thing helps you understand the person.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I try to not have typical Friday nights. Sometimes, I just want to say in and watch a movie. Other times, I'll go out with friends. A recent Friday, for example, was spent at the East Bay Bike Party, travelling from El Cerrito to Lake Merritt with a ton of people, partying the whole way. Definitely not typical (and not something I'd do every Friday).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
As social and open a person as I am, I do have a very strong private side that surprises people. I am a firm believer in privacy and it would take more than a box on a website to get me to say anything truly private in public... including the fact that the moment you put anything in this box, it no longer really counts as private.
