i am: keen-eyed, klutzy, quite tiny, multi- or bilingual (depending on how loosely you define either term), loving to the right people, creative, manufactured abroad, pragmatic, ethnically minor, excitable, transient, a little neurotic, philosophical, epicurean, serious, silly.

i am not: punctual, rhythmically-inclined, possessive, neat, nice to everyone, unreasonable, insecure, tolerant of flakiness, stagnant.

i like: expats, sweeping, bicycles with skinny tires, multitasking, arugula, the sound of something gently hitting calm water, cars with model numbers instead of model names, excitable people, hairdye, sesame oil, long walks on the beach (seriously), dishwashers, subtle literary references, scarves, sentence fragments, loose-leaf tea, travel, my friends (a lot), playing with awkward situations, footnotes*, laughing louder than everyone else, pizzicato, my projects, that my likes list is longer than my dislikes list.

i dislike: washing the dishes, people who refuse to be creative, bored people, jealousy, fluorescent light, humorless people, shoes in the house, cough syrup, being stuck at home, paper teabags, gender roles, discordant music, the last two oktrends articles on race, freelance work (a little), this website (lately).

also, pushing around pixels until they make sense*, missing my cat, revolutionizing and disrupting, changing nasty habits, building peer to peer [things], performing experiments on myself, planting seeds (figuratively), trying the poly thing, dinner partying, shuffling around my belongings, planning to plant seeds (literally), flitting around like mad, approximating exposure, learning.

also, i run something like a home for itinerant hackers out of my place in the Castro. it's hard not to take your work home with you, when your work is at your home. now, when i read okc profiles, i think "would i let this person stay at my house?"

also, i am pretty adept at making fires, manually driving my camera, approximating people's features on paper, inventing recipes, writing blogposts, overthinking things, ignoring the things i've overthought.

progressively, i'm becoming so in tune with what my body needs to be healthy, that things that are bad for me no longer taste good. well... except for gin.

and in general, gradually changing and improving myself and my life, until doing the right thing feels like second nature.*

when left to my own devices, most of the garbage i produce is compostable.

alternately, upon having read this part of my profile and meeting me in person:
him/her: well, you're not THAT SHORT. you're not like THE SHORTEST.
me: ok.

on other people's profiles, i only ever read what they write
about their favorite food. sharing my interest in nomming will probably get you like 33% of the way there with me (that's a little less than a third).

seriously, don't let me get hungry. you wouldn't like me when i'm hungry.

but for what it's worth, i mostly listen to songs that are not in
english (this was my favorite thing for a while, and i'm too lazy to find a new thing for this section every time), watch movies which are dramatically lit, and read fiction books that make me think.
