My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
“Scratch any cynic and you will find a disappointed idealist.”
― George Carlin

Name's Brandon; I angrily rant about political deception and double standards and labels and stereotypes and corporate indoctrination and social constructs.

Infj, if you're into that kind of shit.

Not really here for dating, but not opposed to it; just kinda want to talk about music and life and politics and shit with people.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working/saving up money to get the fuck out of Ohio. Playing my old and busted guitar/saving up for something not old and busted. Studying for college/procrastinating. Staying up all night, pacing around my room trying to beat writing inspiration into my head. Dealing with the fact I can shop in the boy's department. You know, average shit.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I;m really good at pressing the semicolon instead of the apostrophe.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't know, I'll go ask them.

Just specific songs I'm currently obsessed with, though I prefer full albums.

I like anything with fuzzy guitar and power chords; plus a whole lot of shit in-between. Garage Punk is best Punk.

In no order: Cloud Cult, be your own PET, Anna Calvi, Jemina Pearl, Harlem, Bass Drum of Death, Misfits, The Clash, Ty Segall Band, The Orwells, Ramones, The Black Lips, Tijuana Panther, TacocaT, The Dirtbombs, Royal Headache, Tilly and the Wall, The Like, Astronautalis, Dead Sara, Neutral Milk Hotel, P.O.S, The Mynabirds, The Black Belles, The Black Keys, Dead Man's Bones, Blur, Beck, My Bloody Valentine, Mistle Thrush, Karen Elson, The White Stripes, Arcade Fire, Justice, Fatboy Slim, Gorillaz, The Muffs, Jenny Lewis, Moon Duo, Muse, Death From Above 1979, Shark?, The Duke Spirit, Florence + The Machine, Daft Punk, Nujabes, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Thee Oh Sees, Jurassic 5, Flat Duo Jets, White Lung, The Real Tuesday Weld, L7, Elastica, Nirvana, The Stone Roses, Flogging Molly, The Pogues, Dropkick Murphys, Smashing Pumpkins, Roma Di Luna, Feist, Slow Magic, The Antlers and it kinda goes on like that. All of that plus more plus a lot of classic rock and delta blues.

Music's a pretty big passion of mine, and I really get along with people who're the same. Linking each other our favorite songs is my favorite way of getting to know someone. That said, music taste is subjective, so I won't judge as long as you don't.

My favorite movie is Almost Famous, and will probably stay that way. Other favorites are Lost in Translation, Chasing Amy, Clerks, Mallrats, Ruby Sparks, Star Wars OG Trilogy, The Princess Bride, Wayne's World, Blades of Glory, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland, Whip It, The Iron Giant, (500) Days of Summer, Veronica Mars, Black Snake Moan, Kill Bill, Night of the Living Dead, Across the Universe, 12 Years a Slave and The Fall. I like a ton of movies but I can't think of any right now and that's annoying.

I'll just put tv shows here as they come to mind. Firefly, Veronica Mars, King of the Hill, Daria, Beavis and Butthead, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The 10th Kingdom, That 70's Show, Scrubs, American Horror Story, Game of Thrones, Friends, Malcolm in the Middle and stuff like that. I've also watched a lot of the more recent Doctor Who, but I feel like I can't call myself an actual fan until I watch some of the old series. I also used to watch a ton a True Blood, but that show jumped the shark a while ago. I also have a special place in my nostalgia glasses for a lot of late nineties cartoons like Hey Arnold, and I always will. Plus the original Scooby-Doo and TMNT cartoons.

My library card has, like, four hundred dollars in fines. So I don't really read much. I grew up with Harry Potter, though. Love the series to death and I don't really get along with people who don't. But, I've been trying to read more, and just finished Stardust, which I loved. I'd like to read more Neil Gaiman.

And, like most people, I usually like food that tastes good.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1 - Music
2 - Headphones
3 - Fingernail Clippers
4 - Caffeine

There, that's four. I'm now maintenance.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Pessimistic things. Really man, my mind is SO GLOOMY.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Inside. Pacing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Everclear wrote a song about me. I'm trying to get commission.

And I totally can't grasp the idea of properly using a semicolon. Look around and it'll show.

And I have still have a calendar from 2011 hanging on my wall.

You think we'll get along, really. I tend to be pretty intolerant towards intolerant people, though. That doesn't really make sense, but yeah. As long as you're not going to act all uppity and shit. Pretentious people bug me. And people who talk about themselves in adjectives.

But really, friends are great, and if music is a shared passion, we'll get along just fine. Just be prepared for a barrage of youtube links.
