I am resilient, affable, and generous.
My Self-Summary
I am a southern girl transplanted around the country. I just moved
from Chicago to the wilds of Texas. I'm out in the country right
now but hope to move to the DFW area after I get a few things here
squared away.
I love big
cats but I
am wary of very small dogs. I like the mountains (climbing them,
not falling off of them). I love to cook. I read a lot. I'm really
into movies. Netflix is not one of the six things I couldn't live
without, but it's damn close. I even write my own film blog,
Celluloitering.
Of course, who doesn't have a blog these days?
I love to travel and want to do more of it. I believe in getting as
much out of being alive as possible while I'm still here, and I am
slowly gaining the insight that many of the limits that keep me
from doing everything I want to do are self-imposed.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a therapist by trade. I recently left my job at a psychiatric
hospital in Chicago and got a new job doing crisis counseling in
rural Texas. We'll see how that turns out. I'm hoping to eventually
settle into a job that's not quite so high stress--working in a
psych ER was just one long day's journey into an ulcer for me.
I’m really good at
I like to cook and bake and people tell me I'm good at it. I also
like to read Tarot (though I'm not into psychoanalysis, pondering
Jungian archetypes is a bit of a hobby). I love games especially
spades, dominoes, rummy and trivial pursuit.
I am also decent at sizing people up and remembering the little
things about them
The first things people usually notice about me
My conjoined twin...and my bouncy hair!

On a typical Friday night I am
Either going out to a movie/coffee shop/bar/restaurant/concert or
spending time at home playing my computer, watching movies or
catching up on my reading. I spend a lot of time on my own but I am
trying to be more social. I love people, I just have a hard time
making plans to see them. Ha! This is something I need to work on.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Sometimes I eat peanut butter out of the jar.
