I am a southern girl transplanted around the country. I moved to Dallas in June, 2010...I had my doubts, but I love this city! I'm always looking for new stuff to do, though. I got my SCUBA certification last fall, and I passed my concealed handgun licensing class and test, and I want to take flying lessons next. I'm big on cooking (and more recently, some molecular gastronomy stuff (sous-vide!), though only on a limited scale). I like to make things grow (right now peppers, basil and mint) and I love to travel (although I have yet to see East Asia, Australia or Africa--there's much to do!).

I love big cats but I am wary of very small dogs. I have a wonderful black cat named Roland (named for both The Gunslinger series and a favorite Warren Zevon song...that and he comes when I say "Roland," so I guess he likes it).
I like the mountains (hiking up them, not falling off of them). I read a lot. I'm really into movies. Netflix is not one of the six things I couldn't live without, but it's damn close.
I think (almost) all drinks taste better through a straw, and I use one whenever I can. I love to travel and want to do more of it. I believe in getting as much out of being alive as possible.

I recently got into a PhD program, so I'll be moving from Master's level to doctoral level soon! Wish me luck...

I'm a therapist by trade. I currently work in a private clinic treating eating disorders. Previously, I supervised the psychiatric intake for a hospital and also worked in rehab. I love what I do, but I'm looking to move into private practice.

I like to cook and bake and people tell me I'm good at it. I also like to read Tarot (pondering Jungian archetypes is a bit of a hobby). I love games especially spades, dominoes, rummy and trivial pursuit. I am also decent at sizing people up and remembering the little things about them
