Read everything you can get your hands on, and question all of it. Destroy yourself, hit rock bottom, and rebuild yourself from the ashes in the image of pure divine perfection, whatever that may be to you. Strive to uphold yourself to those standards. Don't beat yourself up too much if you screw up, but promise yourself to do better next time.

Pay attention to your surroundings. Take it all in. Breathe the clean air, wonder at a million stars when you're deep enough in the woods that you can see them all, lie back and make love like you'll be dead tomorrow.

Taking from the rich and giving to the poor. I love my job because I am literally paid to play Robin Hood - taking corporate and government funds and using them directly to feed poor people across the entire country. Best of all, we're feeding them healthy, nutritious fruits and vegetables - over 130 million pounds per year! If I don't go to work, people don't eat - how's that for incentive to get up in the morning? :P We're also helping (mostly) small-to-mid-sized farms make ends meet in a tough economy, and saving this perfectly edible food from rotting in the fields (which is pretty much what most of it did before my organization came to town).

Social justice has become a huge part of my life - it's so important to me that I'd rather work at it for a day job and make a little less money than I would working at a corporation doing similar work. I think that the best way to beat the system is to detach yourself from it as much as is realistically possible. Live your own way by your own values, watch others see how happy you are doing so, and if your ideas are truly better, others will begin to adopt them, and in time, the tide will turn... :)

I run a small side business doing freelance web design.

I'm now ALSO working for Lyft (my third job - not third ever, third concurrent!), a San Francisco-based ridesharing service, so I have a little less time than I used to. I love it and the money is good, and I'm meeting all kinds of great new people.

If you're wondering why I'm working three jobs: I don't care about money for its own ends or what I can buy with it. I care about the life it can give me somewhere, someday, off the grid - and what better time to earn it when I'm young and can get by with 5 hours of sleep?

Also, preparing my mind, body and spirit to be able to help others in the trying times that appear to be to come. Gaining the knowledge necessary to survive if the economy collapses, and be relatively self-sufficient. I''m dead set on starting a hippie commune/collective farm/kibbutz-styled-thing someday. Already have a couple of people on board and planning to pool our resources. Anyone else want to join in? I'm looking for kind heads, hippies, "enlightened" folks (quotes added to check egos, enlightenment is a lifelong battle :) ) - preferably spiritual ones who understand some of life's deeper truths and don't take themselves too seriously - who are disciplined and serious about building our own little Garden of Eden right here on Earth.

Been playing the guitar about four years now so that I can bring some music into peoples' hearts if the power goes out. Gotta be able to bear that torch into the future...and I'm still learning, of course...

Trying to wake up "cruise missile liberals" (hence the username). No, blowing up Arab kids in drone strikes and supporting the surveillance/police state aren't traits of a liberal, contrary to what the Democratic Party might think! But politics can fuck right off for me, these days...too depressing and disheartening. I still keep tabs on what's going on because it's important to be aware, but really, I think the best way to beat the system is to create something better instead of fight against what isn't working. Hence the commune idea above.

I have a son. If that bothers you, well, sorry...but we probably won't work out. He lives with his mom, and I only see him a couple of times a month, so he certainly wouldn't be an interference in a relationship - but I love him very much and he is a part of my life that is not going away.

Food: Under normal circumstances, I'll eat pretty much anything. I love good food and love to cook. Whether it's pho multiple times per week (the best place in the Bay Area is right near my work!), Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Mediterranean, or pretty much anything else doesn't matter to me - if it's good, I love it! I'm also an amateur chef...I really enjoy the process of gathering together great, fresh ingredients and making something beautiful from scratch. My signature recipes are chicken and sausage gumbo to rival any you'll find in the South, and lamb korma (East Indian lamb stew).

I've been to hell and back, brought low to rise from the ashes with great personal effort and with pure purpose to spend the rest of my life spreading light in this world. No permanent damage done, and I'm a far better man for it.

While I got "ENTP" on the test this time, I'm borderline on the "E" and the "P." I've gotten "INTP" and "INTJ" in the past.

We have similar interests and you like trying new things with someone who'll do most anything once. You listen to college and/or community radio (my local favorites are 89.7 (Foothill College), 90.1 (Stanford College), and 91.5 (KKUP People's Radio). You like Alex Grey paintings, are passionate about social justice, dislike the government, or are an anarchist/"conspiracy theorist"/Communist/other subversive type/dissident. Even better if you think we, as a species - if nothing else, in small groups - are capable of moving beyond outmoded systems of government and religion into something much better for everyone.
