My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm serious when I need to be, but mostly I'm just a goofy dude who loves to joke around and have a good time. I love and study martial arts and read books when I can. I've studied 6 different styles throughout my life, and am always up for learning more of them. It's more of a way of life than an exercise routine for me; I consider myself a samurai sans armor (at least psychologically). Whether that's good or bad I suppose depends on perspective... ;)

I tend to keep to myself at times, but I also need a lot of social contact to feel emotionally content. I am a very loyal and affectionate friend if you prove your worth to me, and if you do, you would be one of a select few, as I tend to choose my company very carefully.

I have a random, Python-esque sense of humor, which may not be for everyone (but I don't care), and I am prone to LOLing in public seemingly at random.

I think in a stream of consciousness, and my tongue usually follows suit. If you understand how I got from thought A to comment Z, then congratulations, you're as random as me :3

Notice the word "random" has appeared 4 times now. That's not random, but calculated. Randomly :D

I enjoy (and got my bachelor's in) Anthropology, especially archaeology! I could look at fossilized bones all day, every day :D (too bad there's no job market for that...) I am also a novice stargazer, though I find it physically difficult to identify stars and constellations at times.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am currently in the MD program in the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine (RCM to the locals) and will be busy taking care of THAT until the summer of 2017 (assuming no setbacks). Once that's through, who knows? A lot can happen in that time.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Studying, making an ass of myself for fun and profit, and talking. I also like to think I'm witty and clever, but who am I to judge that?

Also, people tell me I am a good writer-- I write short stories mostly, but I dabble in essays and poetry, as a hobby and creative outlet--and I tend to agree with them, if for no other reason than I am a big fan of my own work :D
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My off-beat sense of humor, my friendly disposition, and mellow attitude.

Physically, I suppose my tattoo and my legs, in the rare event either are exposed.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I could write quite an essay in this section (I have since removed it because of its length, as nobody bothered to read it--tl;dr syndrome) but I prefer if you just ask me about it. These types of questions are great ice-breakers :)

That being said, for the purposes of piquing your interest, dear reader, are a few titles and artists that I enjoy, just to name a few off the top of my head.

Books: The 'Song of Ice and Fire' series by George R.R. Martin, the 'Sigma Force' series by James Rollins, 'Frankenstein' by Mary Shelley, 'Physics of the Impossible' by Michio Kaku.

Movies (live-action): The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Taxi Driver, A Clockwork Orange, Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Movies (Animation): Perfect Blue, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, The End of Evangelion, Ninja Scroll, anything by Pixar (except Cars 2).

TV (live-action): Legit, The Big Bang Theory, Wilfred, How I Met Your Mother, Mythbusters, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys [going old-school with that last one I know ;) ].

TV (Animation): Archer, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Death Note, Record of Lodoss War, Excel Saga, South Park, Family Guy.

Music: Pink Floyd, Dave Matthews Band, Cultura Profética, Ska-P, Howard Shore, Led Zeppelin, Ricardo Arjona.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My family and friends (token answer, but it's true)
2. Queen Aethier, my katana (she helps me focus my ki)
3. Physics (it's everywhere, get used to it :D )
4. Books (providers of knowledge)
5. my Cerebral Cortex (holder of knowledge)
6. my Creativity (applies knowledge and converts it into useful form)
7. Oxygen and Earth's atmosphere in general (Fuck you, header! I choose how many items to list, NOT YOU.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whatever it is I'm studying at the time, usually.

Otherwise, I tend to ponder and contemplate about everything, and nothing, and all in between.... sometimes all at once.

Why? Well.... why not? I think, therefore, I am. Besides, it may spark some greater insight into my life or make an interesting topic to write about or base a story around.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably I'll be studying LOL ;) If that isn't the case for some reason, I like to keep to myself as often as I enjoy the company of family and friends.

A book and a Bailey's Irish Cream do great most nights; about as often though I will go hang out with my friends (talking about literature, pop culture, or any myriad of topics) or, less often, go out drinking and whatnot with said friends.

Outside of that, you'd have to ask. If it's something I've never done before, I'll probably say yes if it sounds interesting.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
1. I've often been described by my ex-wife, ex-girlfriends, female friends, and even my younger sister, as "cuddly." Interpret that as you will :)

2. I absolutely HATE being ignored.

So if I sent you a message, it is because I think you are interesting enough to attempt making a connection with. Please at least acknowledge my effort rather than ignore it, even if it is to kindly tell me to piss off. I appreciate and prefer the clarity of the gesture. Thank you in advance for your understanding :)
