My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I think it's really important for everyone to be able to make fun of themselves and have a well-developed sense of humor. It makes living life so much easier if you can just laugh off the lesser things that happen to you.

But I also have a serious side to me: I have an insatiable thirst for knowledge. I always love learning new things about pretty much any subject (especially astronomy), and consider myself to be a lifelong learner. I never get bored of gaining a greater understanding of how things work from whatever science or field you can name.

I love writing about nearly anything. From journalism to writing fiction, I always enjoy putting pen to paper (alright, putting the fingers to keyboard since I hardly physically write anymore). I'm also a logophile (some of my favorites are "chicanery", "preponderance", "torpid", and "enervate").
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just finished my Master's at UF in Mass Comm, so right now I'm just taking advantage of the time I have before a career starts back up
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Stumbling/falling/dropping things
Making homemade pizza
Not having TV even though I work in broadcasting
Making my joints crack
Not knowing what else to put here/forgetting things
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My piano fingers, my Vincent Price voice, and the fact that I could talk forever, hence "TheLoquaciousOne"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Movies - I'm a cinephile, so there are too many to name. Here are a few: Miyazaki, Tarantino, Kubrick, Coen Bros, and a ton more that I need to add. My license plate is VADER 1, so that should tell you something. If it's (objectively) good, chances are I like it.

Shows - Sherlock, Doctor Who, Breaking Bad, Arrested Development, Seinfeld, Louie, The Office, Mad Men (just ended :( ), The Killing, Game of Thrones, The Newsroom, House of Cards, Bates Motel, Broadchurch, Firefly, 24, Archer, Hannibal, True Detective, the list goes on

Music - Franz Ferdinand, White Lies, Editors, Joy Division, The Killers, The Smiths, Tears for Fears, basically anything post-punk, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Billy Joel, David Bowie, and all that old-classic stuff that everyone else likes
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- Reddit (there are too many subreddits to name)
- The Enneagram (it's very similar to the Myers-Briggs assessment)
- Wikipedia
- Animals
- Olive oil
- Tommy Wiseau
- BOGO, a.k.a. Buy One, Get One Free (that's 7, but who cares?)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
3D printers (what the hell CAN'T they make?!?)

How the Mars-1 mission will turn out

Also (more importantly), the universe. It's so incomprehensibly enormous that I feel so insignificant in comparison; but I love it. Carl Sagan's 'Pale Blue Dot' quote sums it up pretty well.

So does this:
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Most likely out, maybe at the movies, the gym, somewhere downtown, at a friend's house. I usually like to stay busy.

But with the right person, I'm content staying in, too.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
This is probably the greatest effrontery I've ever committed: when I was younger, I had to read Fahrenheit 451 in school. I hated it so much (again, blame it on the young age and not being able to appreciate art back then) that I literally went outside and set it ablaze when I was finished with it.

I donate to Wikipedia on a regular basis (I've paid for all those times you've used their website, so you're welcome for that)

I'm a sucker for a pretty woman in a dress.

I'm a supertaster:

I have tinnitus in my right ear that never goes away

I'm writing a novel about time travel

I immensely appreciate science, but I really suck at memorizing or applying it

Apparently, I bear the sign of the Devil since I'm left-handed
