Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Note: If you "like" me or rate my profile highly or whatever,
please do message me. It can't hurt. I am not an A-List subscriber
and I'd like to circumvent some of the silliness of guessing who
did what based on who visited my profile. Its eh.
** Seriously! Pease. If you're liking my profile just to f*** with
me then its working okay? Now either message me if you're
interested or just... Sigh, I guess you're going to ignore this
request too. Please don't spam me with those silly likes. Say hi or
something; I am terrifying but probably less so that you're
1) My name is Nick. It's short for nickname, because that is not in
fact my name. I'm on here every once in a while but if you message
me I will get it and respond asap, yay smartphones.
2) I kind of need to update my profile pic. ugh.
3)The semester is over and I'm nearly done grad school. This is
4) I am Jewish and being Jewish is very important to me. That said,
I tend to have a rather different perspective on what being jewish
means to me than most denominations typically express.
Some fun facts about me:
- I have often been called a nerd. I tend to agree, though I will
say, that "nerd," like any label, fails to fully describe who I
- I used to go to this swing dancing club and really enjoyed it. I
wouldn't mind doing that again.
- I have no idea how to dance, but I'd like to learn and become
better at it. (Not specifically talking about swing dancing
- I do drink, though rarely and in moderation. My body can't quite
handle that sort of intense abuse anymore. College happened and it
was great, but I think that's over and done with.
- I tend to play a fair bit of League of Legends when I am able and
love sci-fi films/books/tv.
- My favorite date ever was when I went to a Thai restaurant and
brought/played a board game, Settlers of Catan. While my
date-partner was less than awesome, the date itself was amazing.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Im currently a grad student at NYU pursuing an M.S. in Public
Relations. I am also looking for a job. Because rent.
Oh yeah, I have an unpaid internship. Woot. (I do advocacy for the
ADA - it's actually pretty sweet. )
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am pretty darned good at writing. Better than many, possibly
most, but I am not the best of them all, not by a long shot.
I am also good at listening and making others feel comfortable. I
find myself having to do this more often than you'd likely expect
and I do enjoy it.
I'm pretty good at disagreeing without offending anyone. The trick
is to indicate understanding of the other's perspective and simply
state "I disagree" and follow it up by validating their
I'm also pretty good at meeting strangers and making single serving
friends (reference to the movie Fight Club - Airplane scene).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
This is a hard question to answer, I've never actually abused my
psychic powers and invaded the minds of strangers. That's just
rude! I only invade the minds of my friends/puppets.
Although, there was one time, before I developed my Code, when I
did. This is what 'they' thought of me:
The very first thing 'they' noticed about me is how much I reminded
them of a dream the'd had the night before. In their dream, the
Fates visited for them in their grandmothers apartment and told
them they would meet a fellow who's sweat turns to gold upon mixing
with the summers first dew.
I reminded them of this dream because I look like the guy who was
carrying the Fates luggage. They were going on vacation and didn't
want to leave without making sure this persons thread would break
at the right time.

- I encountered the book, How I Became Stupid and really enjoyed
it, though the ending was lame.
- My favorite movie is probably Horsey. It's a candadian film and I
highly recommend it. I also refuse to watch it again; it's a good
memory and I don't want to risk ruining it.
- My favorite TV show is probably The West Wing.
- My mother makes this cows tongue recipe on special ocasions and
it is really delicious.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I've compiled a couple different lists that are all, more or less,
completely untrue. Enjoy!
1) people, privacy, water, food, toilet paper, and my glasses
2) The Internet, chocolate, alcohol with friends, star wars, hair,
and the occasional coffee high
3) ice cream, vanilla coke, bagels, bug zappers, last years
textbooks, and 24 hour bodegas.
4)coffee, sleep, more coffee, cereal & milk, more cofee, and
heart palpitations (I really dont know what I'd do without
5) The comment section on The Onion, Books, less than 5 email
adresses, my passwords/usernames, awesome socks, and good friends
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
OH MY GOD HOW AM I GOING TO GET ALL *THIS* DONE!?!?!?!
(this being whatever responsibility I've taken upon myself because
I'm dumb and forget that things like sleeping and eating are
actually important and take up time.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Writing. OR Eating OR Traveling on the subway OR Doing sometihng
relaxing... I'm existing. What are YOU doing on a friday evening?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I lived with two girls. One of them was extremely passive
aggressive and, over the last few months, caused me a lot of
stress. Thank god that's over. The other was an excellent roommate
and more than made up for the first.
Some people think living with girls is better while others say the
In my opinion, its all the same thing.
