I am carring, helpfull, and understanding.

My Self-Summary

I'm an Aspie from Belgium, I rarely ever drink anything alcoholic (like 2ce or 3ce a year). I don't like watching sports, I do however enjoy doing some sports, preferably the types I can do alone or with a small group.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm an ITer, Geek, Nerd and sponge for any kind of information, I read a lot, not just books, but websites with information (history, science, technology, ...)

I'm currently working at a Domotics firm near my home, even though I'm an Enterprise Expert level IT specialist and consultant, I stopped working for large corporations and businesses and earlier this year choose to work only for small to mid-sized firms. My reasons I'm happy to tell you in a private chat, but they are to numerous and complicated to explain in a profile.

I’m really good at

Everything I set my mind to.
I'm a autodidact with most things I put my mind to, if there is any logic behind something, I'm fast to catch on and fast to go beyond the normal expert skill levels on the subject.

The only thing I wish I was good at, try to do and forever fail in is anything social. As I said, I'm an Aspie, which means I'm diagnosed with the Aspergers Syndrome. Its a disorder in the Autism spectrum.

I'm completely normal in most respects, but have great difficulty coping with social events.

While working its nearly impossible to get me stressed, when I'm in a social setting, I'm overwhelmed with anxiety and all sorts of fears.

I have a high IQ and an extremely analytical and logic mind.

The first things people usually notice about me

That I'm tall, well built, polite, valiant and gallant. Some people say I'm handsome, but I don't really know if thats true.

No one would ever guess I have aspergers, until they get to know me and run into some of the quirky habits and reactions I have. Nothing to weird or serious, just that I tend to misunderstand some things on a regular basis. (I can't "read between the lines")

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

To much to sum up, lets just say that I hate "for profit" movies and pop music ala Britney and Fergy.

I eat everything and love classic dishes like cabbage stew with bacon and spinach with sausages. I also like to cook and am pretty good at it. I even bake my own bread.

The six things I could never do without

Love, friendship, my mind(however non typical it functions), my extreme sense of justice, my family and my country.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Everything that interests me :p (luckily, I'm not limited to specific topics like many Aspies are, there are actually very few topics I'm not interested in and those are usually the mindless ones people indulge in anyways)

On a typical Friday night I am

To beat to go out :p

I'm extremely focussed on whatever I'm doing, with that I tend to work way past my standard working hours, finishing whatever I start.

When I'm involved with someone, I tend to focus more on them, removing the "working to much" problem and turning it into daydreaming to much :p

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I already mentioned I was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome, how much more private can you get then telling you were born with a genetic disorder in the Autism spectrum?

You should message me if

You aren't one of those people that see "autism" or "aspergers" and pass judgment on me because of some backward preconceptions you have about these disorders, I can tell you right here, whatever you think you know, you know nothing. If you think "Rainman" when you hear the word autism, you should learn that TV is usually cliché's and rarely attached to reality.

I'm smart, I'm well mannered, I'm well versed in almost everything (some people call me a walking encyclopedia ...), I'm apparently not to bad to look at and even though I have trouble expressing my own emotions, I still have plenty of them, making me very trusting, compassionate and caring.
