My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I started out as a poet and writer and unexpectedly transitioned into acting (ask me about it!). It's amazing how finally me knowing what you're here to do can change everything.

Originally from Jersey but firmly settled into NYC.

I dig movies, theater, writing, reading, hot sauce, dive bars, making eye contact with dogs, nerdom, good whiskey, black coffee, good conversation, going to shows, hunting for music, hoodies and sweaters, craft beer, board games, apples, peanut butter, apples with peanut butter, people watching, and the cool side of the pillow.

Tell me about you.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Writing/editing a music and culture magazine based in Brooklyn for work, then pursuing acting as seriously as possible. Otherwise, dividing my time between indecisions -- mostly concerning what my next meal will be.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Talking about books and words, finding new music, entertaining extended hypotheticals, asking for advice and not listening to said advice, starting too many projects, drinking whiskey, playing board games, drinking seltzer, overanalyzing everything.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My fondness of the Oxford comma?

Lots of plays and poetry and fiction, including: 100 Years of Solitude, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, The Great Gatsby, Then We Came to the End, The New York Trilogy, Everything is Illuminated, No One Belongs Here More Than You, The Stranger, A Visit From the Goon Squad, Lord of the Rings, The Sun Also Rises (and a lot of other Hemingway), On Beauty, Portnoy's Complaint, American Pastoral, anything Raymond Carver, Bukowski, most Murakami, Zadie Smith, Frank O'Hara, Richard Siken, Jennifer Eagan, Jeffrey McDaniels, Miranda July, Charles Simic, Mark Strand, it goes on... and on.

Movies that come to mind: Blue Valentine (!!), The Place Beyond the Pines, Manhattan, Reservoir Dogs, The Big Lebowski, Chinatown, Lost in Translation, Trainspotting, I Like Killing Flies, The Graduate, Superbad, Apocalypse Now, The Squid and the Whale.

Not a the biggest television person, but: The Wire(!), Arrested Development, Louie, Battlestar Galactica, Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Community, Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared, Orange is the New Black, True Detective, Fargo.

Too much: Wye Oak, Japandroids, Arcade Fire, Radiohead, Dr. Dog, Delta Spirit, LCD Soundsystem, Annuals, Cloud Nothings, Maps & Atlases, As Tall As Lions, Wolf Parade, Animal Collective, Anthony Green / Circa Survive, Chromeo, Pinkerton era Weezer, Local Natives, The Receiveing End of Sirens, The Dear Hunter, Beach House, The Black Keys, Mars Volta, Portugal. The Man, Sufjan Stevens, Man Man, Son Lux, Foxy Shazam, The Head and the Heart, Islands, Grizzly Bear... I'm always looking for something new.

Food: I'm a vegetarian who is very, very rarely conflicted about fish. I generally like to eat pretty healthy, but I'm down for whatever. Indian food (or anything spicy, really) has a special place in my heart. Resisting my sweet tooth is a daily struggle.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Whiskey, words, music, pugs, the Internet, much love.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Monologues.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At a bar or show, or else kickin' it at home with some books. It's a fine line.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My dental hygienist thinks I'm "very modern."

You act. You read. You write. You art-of-some-kind. You play music. You know a band I MUST hear. You love spicy food. You bake. You nerd out. You whiskey. You feel awkward in everyday life. Or just cause.
