My self-summary
I wish there was a concert to be at every night of the week. I go to the comedy club so often they now recognize my name there. The sports I like watching are not the sports I like playing. I laugh at things you're not supposed to laugh at. I use way too many parenthetical phrases (just kidding, there's no such thing as too many). I like talking about anything and/or nothing. One day I'm going to travel to all the places in the world I'd love to see (AKA everywhere). I drink 2% milk but I'm not going to judge you for drinking other varieties. I graduated from UW Madison with a degree in electrical engineering, but I don't like electrical engineering (fortunately I also got a computer science degree). I like music way too much, I have nearly 30,000 songs on my computer. I'm somewhat of a nerd, but you knew that already when you saw what I went to school for.
What I’m doing with my life
I work full time as a biomedical technician, even though my degrees have nothing to do with that. Maybe one day I'll get a job doing what I went to school for, but for now I love my job. I'm always doing something different every day and most days I don't even know where I'll be at the end of the day, even when I'm halfway through it.

I just bought a house here in Madison, which has proven to be a lot of work. There's an endless amount of stuff to do around the house now.

As of recently I've decided to pick up bass guitar. It's always been something that I wanted to learn but never got around to doing. But I finally decided to stop thinking about it and teach myself how to play some funky licks (disclaimer: I can't actually play any funky licks yet)
I’m really good at
making people laugh. Or at least making myself laugh. I say things that I find humorous no matter how absurd or possibly offensive it may be. Maybe one day I'll try performing at the comedy club to see if I actually am funny.
The first things people usually notice about me
One time a little old lady serving brats at a Brewer game told me I had a nice smile. That experience has stuck with me to this day.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I wish I was a reader, but college killed my enjoyment of reading for fun. I really like all those books everyone had to read in high school though. You know, the ones that are probably on 90% of people's lists...

I like movies that make me think, or movies that make me laugh and cry at the same time. Things like Inglourious Basterds, Burn After Reading, Eternal Sunshine, and Royal Tenenbaums appeal to me. Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson, and the Coen Brothers are my favorite filmmakers. I'm also a guy, so I love movies with lots of explosions. And car chases. Preferably in combination.

Most of the TV shows I watch are comedies. Arrested Development, The Office, It's Always Sunny, Parks & Rec, Community, South Park, Futurama, Modern Family, and 30 Rock are some of my favorites. Recently I've also been into Dexter and Breaking Bad. There are a ton of shows on my "to-watch" list but I haven't had the time to start any of them.

When it comes to music, I'll give anything a try. Pop, death metal, hardcore punk, gangsta rap, funk, thrash, indie rock, folk, alt country, noise, etc. etc. etc. If I listed bands this page would get way too long. Hell, I've seen 50+ bands live in the past year, so just listing that would get way too long.

I love trying new foods, and I think I'm a pretty good cook... I try making myself good meals on a regular basis. There are so many restaurants around Madison I still need to try, also!
The six things I could never do without
*A constant stream of new music to listen to - recommend me something!
*A large supply of candy - the day I'm able to go to the grocery store without hitting up the candy aisle is the day I start digging my grave
*Good beer - I'm not an alcoholic I swear! Just born and raised in Wisconsin. The darker the better
*My phone - It has seriously decreased my productivity but I don't know how I'd get through the workday without it
*The internet - I love soaking up useless information and there's an unlimited amount to be found on it.
*Friends/family - cliche, but what good is everything else without people to share it with
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything... I spend a lot of time at work either alone or driving to the next job-site so I have a lot of time for daydreaming.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hopefully at a concert! Whether it's a small thing at the Frequency, or something bigger at Majestic or the Union, I love seeing live music. If there isn't a show to go to, I'll be at the bars. Preferably somewhere with a clubby atmosphere so I can dance like a damn fool.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a chronic car-singer/car-dancer. I find it difficult to NOT sing along to any song I know... I'll probably be tapping my feet or dancing in my seat to it too. But not at a red light!
