My self-summary
I am many things, much of which can only be hinted at here.
Healer, mystic, warrior, naturalist, ever evolving and growing into greater awareness and actualizatuon.
What I’m doing with my life
Living. Breathing. Loving. Fighting. Creating. Destroying. Healing. Laughing.

Finishing an MS in Asian Medicine. Delicately stabing people with sharp objects to facilitate healing and downloading several millennia of herbal wisdom.

Organizing fire ceremonies.

Unravelling the PTSD of our patriarchal, rapist, war-ridden culture.

Delving into a mythos of magick and sacred warriorship.

Embracing paradoxes.
I’m really good at
Archery, climbing, being real, getting to the point, lighting things on fire, rolling with the blows.
The first things people usually notice about me
I show up and not afraid to be seen, both in my strength and my weakness. Some say I'm a smartass, I say that's better than a dumbass, or worse still no ass.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a big Tolkien geek, and love anything with a far-away, long-ago fantasy/sci-fi/romance theme. Also real into permaculture/ecology non-fiction, sacred geometry, holistic medicine, ancient history, and very into my Celtic roots so anything with that kind of twist, so to speak, is great. David Deida's works.

Movies tend to follow the same pattern.
Not really a tv person. I hadn't really watched Game of Thrones till recently, and then I binged and caught up to season 4 in about three weeks. I think John Stewart is a god and deserves a Nobel Peace Prize.

Music- when I want to dance/zone in: beats antique, glitch mob, opio, lynx, etc.
When I'm feeling soulful: Loreena McKennit, Wendy Rule, Sarah McLachlan,
When I need to stomp some orcs and/or Romans: Eluveitie (Celtic folk metal), tool, Black Sabbath
Most other times: U2, Led Zepplin, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Pink fucking Floyd (pre-Darkside), also with my Arizona upbringing I can get into some good classic country (Jerry Jeff Walker) and bluegrass now and then, plus you can't go wrong with the Dixie Chicks.

I love food from all over the world and will just about anything. But I'm really pretty strict about it being organic, local, and ethically raised. I've a background in sustainable agriculture, so this is one of those things that's real important to me.

I love to cook and firmly believe in the statement "women belong in the kitchen, men belong in the kitchen, everyone belongs in the kitchen, kitchen has food."
The six things I could never do without
The electromagnetic field

Shall I go on?...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Holistic medicine.
Sex & relationships.
Food and sustainability.
Water sovereignty.
Sacred geometry.
Where are we going (as a society), and why I am in this handbasket?
How and where I'll manifest my dream eco-community.

Why Jon Snow and Ygritte couldn't have had a happier ending.

The difference between flirting with intention and "hitting-on" someone, the later of which is an incredibly mysoginistic term.
On a typical Friday night I am
Not being a typical Bay Area atypical type, whatever that means.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Sometimes I stay up late at night, gazing into the liquid crystal display monitor, answering prodding, bizarre and sometimes irrelevant questions in hopes of finding a lover.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 24–37
  • Near me
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You feel called to do so. (ie, if you "like" my profile)

If you think the tale of Luthien and Beren is the best love story evar!

If you're open to the possibility of a real connection through this medium and know that true love happens not by analyzing someone's profile and sussing out the details of their life (though important), but rather by interacting with them as two embodied human beings discovering the Divine in each other's reflection.

Also: maybe I'm old fashion in this regard, but if I sent you a message, I'd really appreciate some kind of reply. If for whatever reaon you don't think we're a match- you're getting involved with someone, or you're allergic to beards, or you just plain think I'm a nut- it'd be nice to have some human contact and not be a disembodied face on a screen sending letters into the void. Your feedback could actually be useful to me. I find the anonymous nature of this medium to be really disheartening sometimes- I'm not writing just to get laid. Yeah, I get it, you're probably overwhelmed with messages from guys who's emotional intelligence is on par with a football. That's not me, I am genuinely interested in you as a person. Does it really take that much time?

OK, off my soapbox now. Hope to hear from you :)
