I'm a big Tolkien geek, and love anything with a far-away, long-ago
fantasy/sci-fi/romance theme. My life is the Fifth Sacred Thing.
Also real into permaculture/ecology non-fiction, sacred geometry,
holistic medicine, ancient history, and very into my Celtic roots
so anything with that kind of twist, so to speak, is great. Rumi,
Kahlil Gibran, Yeats, Loreena McKennitt (the lyrics of her songs
are incredible poetry on their own), David Deida's works. I also
read a lot about the prevailing international drama of our species
(news). We live in interesting times.
Movies tend to follow the same pattern.
Not really a tv person. I hadn't really watched Game of Thrones
till this past spring, and then I binged and caught up to season 4
in about three weeks.
I think John Stewart is a god and deserves a Nobel Peace
Music- when I want to dance/zone in: beats antique, glitch mob,
opio, lynx, etc.
When I'm feeling soulful: Loreena McKennit, Wendy Rule, Sarah
When I need to stomp some orcs and/or Romans: my most favorite band
now is Eluveitie- Celtic folk metal: https://youtu.be/-w2m-TeLi6I
tool, Black Sabbath
This gets me all hot and bothered:
I love food from all over the world and will eat just about
anything. But I'm really pretty adamant about it being organic,
local, and ethically raised. I've a background in ecology and
sustainable agriculture, so this is one of those things that's real
important to me.
I love to cook and firmly believe in the statement "women belong in
the kitchen, men belong in the kitchen, everyone belongs in the
kitchen, kitchen has food."
