I am creative, dedicated, and honest.

My Self-Summary

Well, to start things off my name is Brian. I'm 21 years old and from Schaumburg, Illinois, but I go to school at Oklahoma State University. I enjoy building things, watching things being built, designing said things, and drawing. It's all immensely challenging, rewarding and entertaining and OSU has one of the best architecture programs in the country that doesn't cost you a kidney, lung, half your ribs, a big toe, and approximately 15 feet of your small intestine.

I love action/adventure movies...just about anything with guns (don't take that the wrong way, I'm not a violent person)...except for Shoot Em' Up because that was a TERRIBLE movie and I hope it gets dumped in the desert with all of those E.T. cartridges (if you understood that reference then you just scored points from me). I play video games, mostly PS2 and PC. The genres I play in that field include everything except *most* sports games. I played baseball for 12 years, but have since quit for more time-worthy endeavors such as sleeping. I enjoy making people laugh...sometimes at my expense, but as long as I laugh as well then I could care less.

Architecture takes up my life. Anyone who knows an architect or someone who studies it can relate. I'm always in studio either drafting or going completely insane...which, unfortunately, makes finding a girlfriend a bit difficult since they'd have to put up with long hours of no contact. However, it's alot of fun and the end result is always rewarding.

Random things I enjoy:
-Greek Mythology
-Ancient Egypt
-World War II history
-Thunderstorms (I'm fascinated with lightning)
-Hail storms (hearing car alarms go off is hilarious)
-Collecting things (cards, movies, books, music)
-Fleetwood Mac
-Traveling (I don't do enough of it...no money)
-Classic Rock/Oldies
-Cars
-Running/Exercising

Random things I don't enjoy:
-Strong, cold wind
-Getting bad grades on projects

yeah, that's about it...for now.

What I’m doing with my life

Taking engineering classes and working on projects to get my bachelors in architecture with a minor in arch. history. I will then try to seek a job...anywhere, in this economy. Even Alaska.

I’m really good at

Drafting, improv, carrying on conversations (mostly), reading big books with tiny print at rediculous speeds, picking good movies to watch out of the $5 bucket at Wal-Mart(sometimes), video games, analyzing the best zombie survival spots while driving (currently the outdoor swimming pool near my house), swearing, and frisbee, among other things.

The first things people usually notice about me

If I had to take an educated guess I'd say it was my humor. If I don't make everyone laugh at least once in a conversation where humor is appropriate then that means I REALLY need to work on my technique.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

BOOKS: Angels and Demons, The DaVinci Code, Ender's Game, Xenocide, Ender's Shadow, Harry Potter, The Hobbit and LotR, D-Day and Band of Brothers, Calvin and Hobbes, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, just about all Michael Crichton books, Stephen King's Dark Tower series, etc.

MOVIES: Shawshank Redemption, Saving Private Ryan, Million Dollar Baby, Forrest Gump, Cinderella Man, Batman Begins, Fight Club, V for Vendetta, Pan's Labyrinth, Kill Bill, Transformers, The Bourne Series, Casino Royale, The Matrix, Gangs of New York, Lucky # Slevin, Rambo 4, Sin City, The Breakfast Club, A.I. Artificial Intelligence, Finding Forrester, Enemy at the Gates, 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, No Country for Old Men, The Terminal, Iron Man, Dark Knight, Wanted, most Clint Eastwood westerns, Watchmen and many, many more.

MUSIC: Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, Stratovarius, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Rush, Sublime, Boston, Michael Kamen, Billy Joel, Def Leopard, Elton John, The San Francisco Symphony, Phil Collins, The Temptations, oldies, rock, metal, orchestra, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, etc.

FOOD: I always enjoy a good steak.

The six things I could never do without

I'll assume that family and friends and all that jazz are given. That said...

Architecture, Books, A goal, Chex Mix, humor, and roller coasters.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

-What my next goal will be...

-What kind/type of girl I'd like to be in a relationship with...

-When I'll be able to eat again without getting sick...

-Why there is ALWAYS so much damn lint on my clothes after I wash them...

-Ways to get A's on projects without actually trying.

On a typical Friday night I am

Looking forward to college football saturday, in my apartment, hanging out with friends-watching movies and playing games, drafting in studio, or just trying to relax to the best of my ability...which doesn't happen too often. I've just now gotten back into playing Magic on friday nights, it's not my "coolest" hobby, but I do play on fridays so I guess it applies.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'd like to die of an intense adrenaline rush from riding the world's fastest, longest roller coaster.

I have a thing for girls with shoulder-length hair for some reason...I don't know why, it's just sexy.

Blatant religious fanaticism will make us enemies before either of us even say hello--best we don't even talk if that happens to be a trait of yours.

I swear alot, but I might consider trying to limit myself if the right person comes along.

You should message me if

Anything that I've mentioned interests you, we share the same interests, you want someone to talk to, or if you just feel like it.
