My Self-Summary
Besides my aquatic limitations, I'm a good guy. It's a mission of mine to meet people that I wouldn't normally know; to break outside of my comfort zone. Establishing new connections and experiencing new things is really the most important thing in my life. I don't want to be stagnant and boring. We have decades to do that, why worry about recklessness now?
I consider myself agnostic, even if doing so feels wishy-washy. It's hard to swallow biblical stories as concrete truth, but relying on science and facts is too logical and cold to me.
From 2nd to 9th grade I took kung-fu and karate lessons, but most of it has been forgotten. If a mugger attacked you five years ago or so, I could have totally made impressive yet useless arm motions.
I am currently seeing someone, but I'm always down for a spiced pumpkin latte (hooray for autumn!).
What I’m doing with my life
I recently returned from a self-sufficiency project in the jungle. I had no interest or knowledge of self-sufficient living, but damn if it didn't sound better than getting a summer job and blowing my money going out with my friends. All in all it was a great time; I learned a ton and gained new skills (now I can use a chainsaw, raise chickens, grow vegetables, etc). Based on how amazing that experience was, I may only do half a year of school then fly out and do something similar. WWOOF, Peace Corps, couch surfing...who knows. The world is my oyster.
I’m really good at
The first things people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
As cool as it is for people to name every obscure indie band from wherever is, my favorite bands would have to be either Weezer or Cake. Do I listen to "better" music then that? Of course, but they resonate with me moreso than anything else. Girl Talk and Ratatat are pretty good too.
I like sushi. And Humboldt Fog is the best cheese ever.
The six things I could never do without
Yea, that's 7 and not 6, you'll learn to forgive me someday.
