Why, hello there. I'm Sam, Sammy, Mr. Devine, and begrudgingly Sam-I-Am.

I'm the good kind of crazy – not conforming but not destroying. I have a mohawk and a job. I think I'm pretty artistic and creative. I design my own tattoos and my be the worlds only motorcycle riding shrinky-dink artist

I'm pretty well read, though by no means infallible. I've got a broad musical knowledge but regularly get stumped. I like riding bicycles and flying kites and I'm getting into kiteboaring.

I'm not a big fan of cars or plastic products.

I cook breakfast almost every day and drink almost every night.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

To pay the rent I bartend at large events. If you've been to Coachella, the Treasure Island Music Festival or the Greek Theater in Berkeley, chances are I helped you drink a beer in one way or another.

In my free time, which is sporadic yet plentiful, I pursue music and journalism.

I was a successful professional jazz bassist for several years but got burnt out and threw my creativity at the written word, finishing school with a double major in music and journalism.

For music, I've joined Tracorum, an international jam-band that is reforming and looking for a drummer. I've also returned to my funk and punk rock beginnings, playing all the instruments on my own songs in my home studio.
