My self-summary
According to the Washington Post, I spend a lot of time waiting around for buses and political news (see here and here).

I like reading, long talks, and traveling. A bit of an everything nerd, I'm equally likely to be struck by a poetry stanza or math proof. You can get me going on anything political.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a PhD student student in economics. I study development (why are there rich and poor nations) and political economy (the intersection of politics and economics).
I’m really good at
Friends, acquaintances, and random people on the street have told me I'm very very good at looking like Ed Sheeran.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
To pick a few:

My Brilliant Friend (Ferrante), Never Let Me Go (Ishiguro), Anna Karenina (Tolstoy), The Cherry Orchard (Chekhov), Measuring the World (Kehlmann), An Unquiet Mind (Jamison), War Made New (Boot), India After Gandhi (Guha), Come and Go (Beckett), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Williams), Arcadia (Stoppard)

Plath, cummings, Amichai, Rilke, Eliot

Turtles Can Fly, Babel, Children of Men, 8 1/2, Flirt, City Lights, The Graduate, Memento, Michael Clayton, Primer

Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, Iron & Wine, Belle and Sebastian, Death Cab for Cutie, Nickel Creek, The Dire Straits
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How did the US lose its political consensus (or did it)? What is the significance of the interludes in Springsteen's Jungleland? When did it get so late?
On a typical Friday night I am
In or out with friends.
