My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Born in Austin and moved around a lot as a kid, but I grew up mostly in a tiny town in Arkansas (we had three stoplights and a crappy Walmart that closed at 8:00 PM). I moved to Dallas just two years ago after trying DC for a year.

If I had to describe myself, I'd say I'm pretty open-minded, adventurous, passionate, and independent. I love spending time in nature - especially in the mountains or near the water - and I'm always up for exploring or trying something new. I'm hoping to meet a kind, adventurous guy who loves to laugh and can be completely ridiculous with me. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I went to grad school in Scotland and then worked on the Hill in DC for a year (I'm not your typical Hill person so I left). Now I'm working in advocacy on a childhood obesity initiative for a health nonprofit here.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Approaching and starting a conversation with anyone, spelling and grammar, remembering things, laughing easily and often, drinking whiskey, and telling you more than you'd ever need to know about moss and flowers.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Maybe green eyes. Or the fact that I'm pretty outspoken and expressive. I'm talking hand gestures, facial expressions, etc. I also appreciate a good bit sarcasm.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: It really varies. Most of the reading I've been doing lately is related to work, so right now I can tell you loads about sugar-sweetened beverage (SSB) taxes and nutritional requirements for school foods. Fascinating, right? ;)

Movies: Horror, sci-fi, comedy.
TV: I don't really watch much, but I do love Buffy. Also, BSG, Walking Dead, and AHS (just definitely not the 4th season).

Music: So many bands and so many genres. The Rolling Stones, Aretha, CCR, Queens of the Stone Age, Bloc Party, Foals...

Food: I tend to go for spicy and try to go for healthy most of the time. I'm a big fan of Mediterranean, Indian, Cajun, and Tex-Mex.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) My crazy family
2) Stimulating conversations
3) A job I'm passionate about
4) Laughing
5) Music
6) My Fitbit
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I'm usually thinking about or talking about traveling, single malt whisky, my job, why traffic in DFW is so horrendous, my next random adventure, the future, politics, world religions, different cultures, social issues, health, or nutrition. (I know you're technically not supposed to discuss politics or religion, but I just can't help myself).
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Doing something with somebody somewhere.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been to 40+ countries?

You're intelligent, you don't take yourself too seriously, and you like strong women. And for the love of all things holy, you can use proper punctuation.
